Well I just renewed my season tickets today and even though it's probably way too early, I'm ready to talk about the fall...specifically which game(s) you are looking most forward to. Teabass and I are planning to go to a lot of games this fall (Indiana State, Tarleton, Chattanooga, Kennesaw, JSU, Eastern KY and Memphis). I was really excited about Memphis when it was an October 1st game - now not as excited (Nov 19th) but a couple of nights on Beale Street is appealing any time of the year! Chattanooga was next and like many of you on the board the chance to potentially develop a rivalry between the 2 TN River schools would be awesome. But now JSU in Madison - I'm really jazzed about that one especially the venue. All in all I'm just pumped to see our guys finally removed from this transition period and onto games that really count. What game is top on your list?

I’ve posted here several times that I live in Chattanooga, so for me it’s hard to say that’s not the one I’m looking to the most. Got cancelled, of course, two years ago. It will be nice to not need to drive 3+ hours for a game.
I am still pretty upset I won’t get to go to one last game in Florence against JSU. The last time I went to a game against them in Braly was ‘92. I was 9. Hopefully the changes that are no doubt coming will eventually have us able to play them again at home some day soon, but you just never know. I’ll probably try to get tickets to the game in Madison.
Otherwise, I’m just excited to see what we can do in conference play. I want to see some wins, obviously. I’m not sure we can win the ASUN, but I’d like to see a winning season and some actual progress in the program itself.

I PLAN on going to all the games, but you know how plans go. I guess I'm exited about the potential atmosphere of the JSU game the most though...

I highly recommend traveling to an away or three. We enjoy the away games, except for 2016 in Missouri….we froze and the team was also frozen so the game sucked. Freezing cold and your team also struggling in the cold at the same time is a terrible combination. I bought my season tickets again this week too. I am curious if this will be the fastest season ticket holders renew their tickets? I think everyone wants to insure they get into tiny Toyota field to see us take down JSU. We could use couple stud transfers at linebacker position. I really would like to go to Memphis game and UTC. About equal travel for us to both.

This confuses me. Why did they do this for 2022? footballscoop.com/news/wac-asun-continue-allianceAm I reading this wrong or will one of the conference winners not get an AQ this fall? From the release: The coming season will be the first for a full ASUN Football schedule. Both the ASUN and the WAC will play a full season among their own members, and both will have their own honors, awards and championship hardware. One of the two group winners will earn the ASUN-WAC AQ. Final policy to govern the AQ recipient will be determined in the coming weeks. asunsports.prestosports.com/spor...0518bz4t65

Don't give 1 spot for 2 conferences... I wouldn't be opposed to a 2 division conference with a final week championship series. The issue is the ASUN got an AQ and the WAC don't.

Looks like it is for one season, ASUN has to be close landing another D1 football school? I am just glad we have a chance to play for something meaningful. Season will be here, an actual meaningful season, before we know it. Everything counts from this point forward.

I thought JSU and SHSU would count as that sixth team for each conference but I guess not.

Regardless, make it 1 football conference, 2 division, ASUN division and WAC division, play an ASUN schedule (in our case) and a WAC schedule ( in their case) rank them through the final week and on the last week of the regular season have a big "Championship Week" and have 1vs1, 2vs2 and so on. The winner gets the AQ and everyone has a guaranteed game.

Problem seems to be schedules are already set. I wonder when the two conferences found out they didn't have an AQ?
We have Southern Utah on the schedule as well as Sam Houston.

Both conferences will have their own championships and one of those winners will earn the ASUN-WAC automatic qualifier to the FCS Playoffs. The process for selecting the automatic qualifier will be announced at a later date.

Well that’s WAC? Shouldn’t the conference champion from WAC and ASUN decide it on the field? Hmmm…new stadium hurry up and get here…make us more appealing in division 1 world. We may need the stadium to help us in the near future?

Saw where basketball has reported. I figure this late into June that football has reported too? Noticed a couple of new additions to the roster in defensive back Jacob Peters, linebacker Shaun Meyers, offensive line Gage Saint, Quarterback Ben Harris, Running back Cam Collier, Wide Receiver Dakota Warfield. Linebacker looks the part and could plug in day 1, interested to see transfer quarterback from Oklahoma? Collier brings an elusiveness to his running style and surprising power. Wakefield has really good hands, can flat out catch it. Only a few months away

Just looked at the roster. I am very concerned about the defense... Linebackers will be young. Still not a ton of size on the Dline.

I don’t feel good about our defense either. Got torched a lot this spring from what I watched. Hopefully we’ve recruited at LB and D Line..
