Carson Newman would be a good GSC fit.

Guess that means EKU is next... Why? I think CUSA will stick with 12 for a bit. This probably sinks Tarleton's FBS quest for a while as well.

Yeah I don't think CUSA has a good reason to go to 14, though I'm sure Tarleton and EKU would be the targets if they decide to. If I were them, I'd try to get NDSU and SDSU to join together... but I doubt they (the schools) want to.

With UNA being relatively safe, I think, I’m interested in seeing how all of this goes. I’ve read so many different scenarios.
I tend to think the WAC will be gone in a few years, after these moves. But I saw an interesting discussion: what if the 3 WAC Texas schools convinced all of the Southland Texas schools to form an all-Texas conference? That would leave the Southland with just 5 Louisiana schools (4 football). I can’t imagine there would be many options to backfill, especially for football. Would they join us? Would they try to stay an all-sports conference and affiliate with the OVC for football?
I’d almost like that scenario better than having to take Abilene Christian and Tarleton if SFA goes to the Southland by themselves.
