The University of North Alabama (UNA) invites qualified candidates for an exciting employment opportunity in the position of Head Football Coach. The Head Football Coach holds responsibility for all activities under the football program to include supervision of assistant coaches, student-athletes, student employees, and volunteers; program budget oversight; recruitment of quality student-athletes; game preparation, strategy, and scheduling; and ensuring the success of the program, the student-athletes, the division, and the University.

Essential Job Duties
As a direct report to the Athletic Director, the Head Football Coach has overall responsibility for the administration and advancement of the University’s football program. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring adherence to UNA, ASUN, and NCAA rules and regulations while providing prudent fiscal management of the program. The Head Coach will also be responsible for oversight of the recruitment, selection, and retention of the sport’s personnel, administration of scholarships, various budgets, and effective fundraising efforts. The head coach is expected to meet with alumni of the program and college; enhance public relations; organize camps, clinics, and recruitment events; and support the philosophy, goals, and mission of both UNA and its intercollegiate Athletics programs.
Additional Duties
Additional responsibilities include effective communication and interaction with a diverse group of stakeholders, including members of the administration, faculty, staff, students, parents, donors, and the community at large.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with a Master’s degree preferred; significant collegiate coaching experience; successful Division I coaching experience preferred, and national recruiting experience.
