I said before we have 5 Lions going in our group....can’t wait to get there Friday. Bison nation following this board any suggestions for bars/dinner Friday afternoon night? Florida Bison here...I would suggest going to the Bisonville football forum. Lots of folks there will gladly provide all kinds of different entertainment options. Fargo is a pretty fun town to visit, whether for food, beverage or both. Hoping for a good game on Saturday...will be watching on ESPN+...

I hope the game at NDSU is sold out. Our guys are expecting it and have heard all about it. How fun to play in a loud dome. I know our team is looking forward to playing this game. As a fan, I am looking forward to seeing our team play in this environment. Every game this year is sold out. They sell out within minutes of single-game tickets going on sale.

Just go downtown, Broadway. There are over 15 bars and plenty of good places to eat. If you don't like one bar, its just a few steps to the next one. My wife and I like to eat at the Boiler Room downtown. We also have Uber and Lyft so getting to and from your hotel is simple and inexpensive.
Let me know if you want to join our tailgate.

Since everything in Fargo is seemingly about a 10 minute Uber ride away, here's my short list of places Pounds (downtown) ----- www.poundsfargo.com/menu1/Wurst Bier Hall (downtown) ----- wurstfargo.com/Herd and Horns (located right on campus) ----- www.herdandhorns.com/ - To me this would be a great place as a visiting fan to come and check out. It is owned by formed NDSU players and proud Alum.
Lucky 13's (Close to the mall and shopping) ----- www.luckys13pub.com/menu-fargo - They have great food and it comes in huge portions! I've never seen the place not busy before.

I was surprised to see a lot of empty seats on the video (big section down in the upper end zone). Just because it was a weak opponent?

Just because it was a weak opponent? That's part of the student/band section. If it was completely empty, the band was likely off somewhere else.

Spent a few minutes looking around Fargo just now on Google StreetView, since that's the closest I'll come to the game Saturday. Broadway looks like a lot of fun. I'm 35 and can't exactly stay out until 2 or 3 partying anymore, but I bet I could find a few places to enjoy a cold beverage. Think you can pull any strings with the NDSU administration and extol the virtues of Florence to them? Bet you are one of the few Bison (Bisons?) that have made it to our part of the world. It would be nice to have you guys down for another game in, oh, about five years. Actually, maybe I should wait until I see the outcome Saturday before saying that...

Funny you say that, I will be in Florence again next week Sept 17-21. So, once again, if you see a guy roaming Court St in a Bison shirt, its probably me. If UNA becomes a top tier FCS school, I could see the possibility of NDSU working out a home and home. Most recently we have done that with Montana, Eastern Washington and we start it with Delaware this year at home and travel there next year.
ps: Bison is singular and plural.

If it was completely empty, the band was likely off somewhere else. The official attendance was 18,483. Dome seating capacity is 18,700, but with hot games, standing room gets it up to about 19,100.

Any rumblings of NDSU following the recent wave of schools to FBS? Like App. State, GA Southern, and Liberty?

Any rumblings of NDSU following the recent wave of schools to FBS? Like App. State, GA Southern, and Liberty? Nothing. We are a geographic outlier for most conferences. It would also likely necessitate building a new stadium, as the Fargodome is currently at capacity and can't be expanded in a cost-effective manner.

Any rumblings of NDSU following the recent wave of schools to FBS? Like App. State, GA Southern, and Liberty? Some fans want to move, some don't. The President and AD say we are staying at the second level of D1.
