Would've been nice to keep the men's game closer, but it is what it is. I'm much more upset about the women's game. I think Tennessee Tech is a good team (made the tournament last year), but at the same time, it just continues the trend of us getting beat by almost every decent team we've played. You just can't lose home games against other mid-major competition. Every time I think this team has taken a step forward (almost beating Chattanooga, winning @ Samford)... they take two steps back. I think it's lack of coaching... Time for a change.

Think both basketball coaches better do something in conference play. If we finish in top four of the conference think both coaches get another year. Outside the top 4 and it’s time to find new coaches. Both coaches have had plenty of time to put their stamp on their programs.

So I think he stays. But Tiber? Tell me where the program has improved since the Wallens have left?

Tiber’s current record is 159 - 137 But if you take out the 4 years that the Wallens played Tiber’s record would be 74 - 104 She seems to only recruit border line players Most players she recruits only had no more than two offers if even that.

Unless we ball out and win the ASUN, Tiber has some sort of dirt on Looney, or Looney pulls a Linder and lets her stay even though she's past her prime, she's not long for UNA.

Pujols record isn’t too good either at North Alabama…
North Alabama: 66–89 (.426) overall 34–47 in ASUN

Pujols record isn’t too good either at North Alabama… North Alabama: 66–89 (.426) overall 34–47 in ASUN The difference. At least the way I see it, he seems to get more out of the players. He has taken them to an ASUN championship game and a post season tournament. That's a lot more than Tiber. I think there is a lot more upside for Pujols. But that's just my opinion.

I think we need to see some solid conference play from the men for most of us to not be wanting to make a change. Last year seemed to be a step in the right direction, other than that awful finish. I realize in our place in the D1 world we can't afford to overreact and fire a "decent" coach. But in Year 6, I think a conference championship should be the goal. Doesn't mean we have to win it, but I think making it to the conference tournament semis or championship should be an expectation. If we don't do that, I think it will be a good idea to start asking "when?".
I'm already on board with wanting a change on the women's side.

Tiber is really going to have to have a good conference play and turn it around. I think she has to finish 5th or better in conference and win an ASUN tournament game. Hasn't won one since the 19-20 Covid year. Contract ends after this season (https://roarlions.com/news/2019/9/10/womens-basketball-tiber-receives-contract-extension-through-2023-24-season.aspx) Pujol has 2 more years on his contract so I think he will get 2 more years unless a complete disaster for this year. He needs to have a good year in conference play and win an ASUN tournament game. I think this team can finish 4th or better Lipscomb and Kennesaw state in line for the ASUN championship. roarlions.com/news/2020/11/20/mens-basketball-pujol-gets-contract-extension-to-lead-una-men.aspx#:~:text=FLORENCE%20%E2%80%93%20University%20of%20North%20Alabama,runs%20through%20the%202025%20season.

Lions tied with Auburn down on the plains. Both teams are a bit rusty after the holiday break but Lions hanging in there so far. Tweedie with half the points but having to sit with 2 fouls.

Well that is about the score expected. At least we gave them something to think about at halftime. We just do not have enough offensive power to beat teams that will score 70 in a game consistently. Hoping we find some chemistry as a team on offense or it will be a long year at home and away for the ladies.
