I could post for the next hour but UNA is signing some transfers and a ton of high school kids. This recruiting class could go down as the best ever at the University of North Alabama.

To pull talent from Hillcrest, Thompson, Vigor, is unusual for us. Exciting this staff isn’t limited to where the talent comes from as long as it comes. Great looking group. A lot will make an immediate impact. We only signed one true running back and Cooper who can contribute at running back. Wouldn’t be surprised if we bring one in after spring ball. ROAR LIONS!

If my calculations are correct UNA finished up this signing period with the following:
5 star: 1 4 star: 1 3 star: 8 2 star: 3
And a ton of unreal talent that didn’t have a star beside their name. I’m 100% impressed with the new coaches and can’t wait to see how they coach these players up. It’s a great day to be a lion!!! This signing class could be better than a lot of FBS schools especially conferences like CUSA.

Punter was the position I was worried about at first. We addressed immediate needs and also stockpiled talent for the future. Staff impressed with short time to build relationships and find unsigned talent.

If we didn't finish with one of the best recruiting classes in FCS, then the people who determine that are idiots.

So, I don't know much about this site but they had UNA pretty high up in early June:
Just recently, they released this for the UAC and still had UNA in the Top 10 nationally.

Wow! That’s cause for some optimism.
I truly have no idea what to expect out of this year’s team. Don’t want to get my hopes up and then be disappointed, but I don’t know if I’d be THAT surprised to see us come out and win 7 or 8 games.

Is it me, or does the two ranking contradict themselves? For sure. Unless something big changed in the past month? Either way, to be in the Top 10 is pretty cool.

Seen a few random picks from the elite football camp at UNA. Looks like we had several players come and work out. Heard from a guy that took his son Saturday that it was a good camp. He had been to quite a few SEC camps, EKU, JSU, and others. He said it was one of the better camps. He is very impressed by Dearmon. I am too so far, will know more about how impressed I am in 90 days.

I’m impressed by Dearmon as well. Seems very organized and very driven. He’s really done a great job off the field. Honestly, it’s been a night and day difference in the presentation of the program. Obviously it remains to be seen if he can make things happen on the field. But it seems like the recruiting game is going well. If he can bring in nationally ranked classes, especially with the facilities we have and our recent lack of success, I think things can really pick up if we manage to put together a good season this year. Of course, if that happens he might be gone sooner rather than later. But that’s not the worst problem to have.

I don't know if he is alluding to something or not but I have heard him many times talk about coaches that stay with their programs for 15+ years and having their families build roots where they are... and he is an Alabama guy....

Yeah, you never know of course. Different people have different priorities. Maybe he wins us multiple national titles and eventually coaches us in FBS and retires (or finally moves on) an even bigger legend than Bobby. I’d love to see it. Or, if he’s at least the guy that turns things around and makes us a Top-5 program and leaves a great situation for the next guy and the next guy… I’ll be happy with that too.
