Curtis Douglas is on board. Is a lot like Lacey, hybrid receiver/running back. 6’0 and 205Ibs with strong hands to go up high and pluck the ball out of the air. Welcome Curtis.

If it’s the Curtis Douglas that was leaning towards FAU, there you go. Relationships are so important! And I’d take it as a really good sign that kids want to play for Dearmon.
It feels like we’re acquiring some serious talent. ShunDerrick, you want to be a part of this, trust me!

Didn’t know we had a couple of bowling lanes, golf simulator, skeeball games, shuffleboards with corn hole boards. Is that new with this staff? Great to see those guys on visits hanging out and playing with each other and coaches. Love having the National trophies in the pics with the recruits and the new lockers too. This staff isn’t going to wait too long to turn this program around. We will be competitive next year.

Check that, it's actually the Boiler room downtown... I keep forgetting about that place.

Love what’s going on! Any chance, since he seems to be a traditionalist that we can get rid of the new logos? I saw the pictures of the purple star helmet and I say we bring it back

Times have changed I reckon. Remember the helmets from around 2002 or 04 time frame. It was the helmet with the claw mark. This was a Hudspeth helmet and it was, no less, designed by him!

I’m sure for money sake we won’t be seeing different jerseys next year. But the helmets are obviously already there. I’d certainly rather see the throwback than the “NA” logo helmet. I also like that Coach wants to bring back the Purple Swarm name for the defense.

Couldn't see the claw marks from the seats. Point being, the coach could own the design. A Purple Swarm comeback I could truly live with, if the "D" takes it personal and owns it!

Leak is thick for a linebacker. We haven’t had linebackers bigger than safeties in years. I think Powell has the same build as some of our current linebackers and he is coming in to play the nickel. This new staff is working hard to infuse some D1 sized players on defense. I feel like Wednesday is going to be an exciting day for Lions fans.

While I like what the staff is doing with the "Purple Swarm" and really targeting the defense, as it needs the most help. We still need offensive players in this recruiting cycle. Outside of RB from FL and WR from Hartselle, I haven't seen many offensive commits. Got to replace Swan at TE and fill in the offensive Line. Little and Hall will be gone, and I know they didn't have a great season, but they were starting WR's. Also, the RB room is very weak now with Powell possibly gone (I don't see how he stays) and Diggers may not be same back he once was.

One guy from Deshler is a MAN, and should commit. One guy from Rogers. He is huge too. I like that they are concentrated on local...
