You know the Tigers are worried with the Lions bringing in the 118th ranked defense. Pretty much believe there is no fear here. My fear is that we get a starter hurt that will miss much needed spring practice. Our offense will hopefully keep this from being a shutout. Yes I am making bold predictions. Memphis 70 UNA 17

From D1.ticker today: “The competitive landscape of college athletics is changing. We need your help. The NIL era is here (and) whether the college athletics model will continue to evolve, we believe this will likely be our new normal for at least for the next few years. And while we may not all like what NIL has brought to college athletics, it does present an opportunity for our programs and our student-athletes. To put it directly, we need to embrace NIL in order to remain competitive. To put it even more directly, if we don't start embracing NIL by December, we may very well start losing players to other programs.” That’s Memphis AD Veatch in an email to the Ambassadors - a group of the school’s Tiger Leadership Circle, those who have given $500K+ to the Memphis Athletic Fund over a five-year period. Veatch takes it further: “If each of you as our Ambassadors were to contribute $1,000-2,000 per month for the next two to three years or $12,000-$24,000 per year to NIL opportunities, we can come together to achieve our goals and support our student athletes at a highly competitive level.” Memphis AD Laird Veatch asks boosters for more NIL money, warns teams could lose players www.commercialappeal.com/story/sports/college/memphis-tigers/2022/11/18/memphis-athletic-director-laird-veatch-boosters-nil-funds-tigers/69659094007/

Don't think there's a chance we lose to you guys, but anything can happen. Especially when you have a player in the category of Powell.
A turnover here and a turnover there and who knows.
Easily the best RB we've played this season.
Drop by Tigerlane just outside the west stadium entrance before the game.
Anyone from Tuscumbia area? Is North Alabama Speedway still open?
Competed in late season race there back in the 90s. Guy stopped on front straight, crawled out of car, placed his whiskey bottle on top of car, took the hood off, made a quick adjustment, put the hood back on, grabbed his whiskey bottle, climbed back in car and continued the race.
Never been back there since.
Have a safe drive up 72.
Beware there's a short stretch right across the TN state line which is a speed trap.
Do NOT confuse 269 with 385.
While they share the same roadway north of Memphis they branch off each other just east of Collierville.
Take 385 when you get to it instead of going through Germantown.
72 to 385 west to 240 west to Airways exit north.
Airways becomes east parkway right at stadium.

Thanks for the information and yes the North Alabama Speedway is still going. Thanks for the laugh this morning. You said turnover and obviously have not played our defense. All your offensive players today will look amazing. Our offense at times during the game looks really strong. Powell is an undersized physical talent with a giant sized heart. He is fun to watch and hard to tackle. Don’t get any ideas up there in Memphis. We need to keep him. I will be watching the game, but have heard quite a few are making the trip. Safe game and enjoy the Memphis offensive explosion.

Anyone bothering to listen to this slaughter? I'm just watching the stats page.
So far, Memphis 45 to nothing early in the third - with Memphis ready to score again.
This will mark an ignominious ending to a very forgettable season.

I’m watching it, hard to watch, my family could not watch anymore. Wish we had some fight to us….was hoping we would score…love for Powell to break one…but maybe this is what keeps him at UNA.

Final: 59-0
I watched most of the first half. Couldn’t stomach most of the second.
It’s a bittersweet feeling to see this season end. I appreciate these guys and coaches for their time and work. But, I also realize that we may not see most of them again on the sideline. I do hope our best players stay but a new coach will likely be starting from scratch. That thought is both scary and exciting.

On to the next season, and a new coaching staff.

Whew glad this year is over. Broke a lot of records. Did anyone predict 1-10? Maybe we should have kept the old locker room? The old scoreboard definitely got revenge….although the new scoreboard is waaay better. Hope they get it fixed? The new logo design brought in some winning ways…..for our competition. We definitely experienced quite a bit of change this year. If the new coach wins one D1 game next year he will look amazing. Do we rush the field? Ok…I’m just trying to have fun in a season that was not fun. Powell made the season tolerable. We lose to a D2 school that was terrible without him. We can’t just recruit the players nobody else wants. When you hear guys say that North Alabama was my only D1 offer, well there’s your sign. Now on to the waiting for the new coach, hope he enjoys a challenge.
