I look at our schedule and see about 3 wins at this point. Hoping this ship gets going quickly.

Hang in there, coaches and players are learning more about each other with each game. I like the kid from Haiti, not sure how many blocks he had, but that will be huge to have a human flyswatter. Our guards look capable, Blackmon can ball, Youngblood too. Got a chance to be pretty good.

Lions holding their own in the first half... maybe they can keep it up. You can tell they are learning each other.

Just got to watch us hit 4 free throws before half, we will take it. 4 point lead is very doable for our young Lions! Hope we can find some defensive stops in 2nd half. We play them close the pressure is put on the home team...maybe we pull the upset and have a shot to match the girls with an impressive win.

Good game tonight. I'll take an 11-point loss to a Big Dance team to blowout loss to Valdosta State any day.
This team should be able to compete decently in the ASUN.

Tough game. St Louis gets the win. But the Lions looked much improved. Looking forward to Saturday when they beat Pitt...

I didn't get to watch much of the second half, but what I did see, and what I see from looking at the box score, is encouraging. We only shot 36%, which is the big difference in the game. Of course, it's never easy to go on the road against a pretty good team and an arena you've never been in and shoot lights out. Plus, the Billikens were big. It felt like everyone they put out on the floor was 6'9". They are a good team that are picked to finish second in an excellent basketball conference. So no shame in this one.
If you look at our top 3 scorers last night, I think those are the guys that will be leading this team. Blackmon will end up being one of those players some of the bigger schools scratch their heads about and say "how did we miss out on him?". I think Payton Youngblood has a lot of potential, he just seems to play "out of control" at times. Maybe he's trying to do too much right now. And then Cameron Diggs had a great night as well. He was one rebound shy of a double-double.
Pittsburgh will be another challenge. But if we can clean up some of the missed shots, and continue to rebound well, we'll have a chance. They have a first-year coach and are predicted to be at the bottom of the ACC. This just might be a chance to steal one.

I watched the whole game last night and that was the best effort and play I have seen during my UNA fandom. If Champagne was our coach we lose that game by 30-40. It's really refreshing seeing our basketball team play hard for 40 minutes. We aren't gonna win very many games this year due to inexperience via coaching and players but we have a lot to look forward too in the coming years. I just wish Youngblood was a freshman, kid can ball and goes 110% the whole game. (He does get out of control sometimes)
