Not trying to look past Southern Utah, but regardless of the outcome of the first game, I feel like the A&M game will be a big one for our team. I'm hoping that we have a great crowd in Huntsville. Can we have 5000+ fans there? I don't see why not. I would assume we have a large alumni base over there. And obviously, plenty of fans from the Shoals should be able to make the trip.
Does anyone know how seating is done at Louis Crews Stadium? I was browsing A&M's ticket site, and the only option it gave me was to buy tickets on the "home" side. At least, I assume that's how their stadium is set up. Home on the larger west side, visitors on the smaller east. If our fans will mostly be in the east stands, I don't want to purchase tickets on the other side.
I'm sure tickets will be available at the game, but since we may have a small child I want to skip any lines if possible. Unfortunately roarlions.com doesn't have an option for buying away game tickets.

I should be there. Not sure how tickets will be done, but I'm sure we have the east side. I figure the POD will take a section. For those who have never been there to watch a game, it kinda sucks, with that large track, it feels like you are a mile away from the feild.

Unfortunately the Times Daily conducted a poll about how many wins UNA would get this year. 18% of us said 7. That tied with the 18% who "could care less." The others were scattered. That was very disheartening but symbolic of the Shoals. Who cares? Roll Tide... War Eagle and probably even Go Vols.

They have had much more success in those two sports than football.

We have a lot of alumni in Huntsville. I expect us to bring at 5000 to 7000 people. We have 8,000 at Legion field against Miles. We also took some large crowds down to Jacksonville State. First game of the year fans can go and watch? I am taking some clients out to eat prior to the game in Huntsville. Clients were excited about it, should be fun.
Roar Lions!
You will always have the fans that never went to a school and pull for one of the teams in the state and are mad if another teams is getting any press their team is not getting. They can't help it...bless them.

A large % of the shoals dont even read the paper anymore, just a matter of time before its shut down completely.

They can't help it...bless them. I have nothing to complain about media-coverage-wise. The Times Daily has always did a super job. UNA probably gets more local coverage than half of the FCS. We get the same if not more than A&M in the Huntsville market. Problem is, unless the school name starts with an A, most dorks will skip right on over it. In the old days, it was actually easier. Sure we had the Tide and Tigers back then but not fortnight or whatever that is and all the other videogames. And that's not to mention 150 hi-def channels on a 70 inch screen with theater-qualty sound piping the top power5 games to your couch with 15 to 20 restaurants delivering food to your door. Heck I might have stayed home too if I had all of that, especially if it was raining or cold! 😉 That's why I say more creative marketing should be paid for or we can expect the same 7 or 8 thousand fans and not much else, this season for sure. The Floridians in the old ABA came up with the Bikini Ball Girls at each end of the court. It worked, more than doubling attendance! From about 2,500 to 5,000. Haha.Hey, even hot girls in 2 (small)piece bikinis can't do it by themseves but they tried!

So it looks like Alabama A&M is not giving UNA any tickets for the game. We will have to buy them online or at the ticket office.

They still only offer tickets on the "home" side of the stadium when trying to purchase online (plus you have to register for one of their accounts ). I know some may like to mingle with the other teams' fans, but I would still assume for example that the POD will be on the other side. I may just wait to buy tickets at the gate myself.

I will buy mine there, unless the UNA ticket office starts selling our part the week of the game. Then I will buy from UNA like I did for the JSU games.

If you buy the $25 general admission seats you can sit anywhere except in the reserved section or the maroon seats. Sections 8,9 and F are reserved. Just buy general admission at $25 and you will be fine. I verified with A& M office
