To win after playing what felt like a much less than perfect game is huge. I said earlier in the week that a close game wouldn’t surprise me. We had a big, emotional win last week, and were no doubt tired after that trip. But kudos to A&M. I feel like they are playing better than they have in a long time.
No matter what happens next week, I will be very happy to be playing in Florence for the first time with a 2-1 record. There’s no doubt we would have all gladly taken that a few weeks ago.

I have to say, the most impressive thing to me was the UNA fans......... probably half (and I'm being generous) of the crowd was in purple. And they actually got off their a$$es and got very loud when they needed to.
I'll be glad to be back in Florence, hopefully our Defense is just tired. 2-0 in our first 2 road games in FCS, I'll take it.
Off topic, did anyone happen to see the score of the basketball game between Florida State and Samford?

I think you're right. The new coach seems to have jump-started things there.

Nice win Lions! Way to close things out. See you next week in Fargo. Gonna be a tall task. I just hope we don't have more injuries. Already lost our starting QB for part of this one.

Used to the A&M of old. This was not them. We sorta struggled in this game. A&M with new coaching may be the story for their improved play this year over previous. Not sure what to make our defense. Not as lock down as I expected thus far into the season. May be the level of competition? Anyway, glad of the win and the D coming through when it was on the line.

Watching the game from roughly the 50 yard line, both offensive coordinators were prepared. The defensive coaches made some nice adjustments at the half. The run game up the middle hurt us tonight on those delays...I think everytime we guessed pass it was a run....and it worked. The short passing game and passing game over the middle worked for those guys in the first half. We only gave up 3 points in their house after halftime, to a very hyped team and much better team than people are giving credit...gained my respect.
Dailey getting hurt turned the game. Burton Jr. on the next play was unblockable, nailed the qb, first turnover with fumble recovery. He ran straight over to his friend on the sideline and let him know that was for him. The spark our team needed and all that momentum changed to our side and we never lost it. Byrd is a beast of a player. WOW! He is some kind of electric, splash plays in every game so far this year, talking about fun to watch. Boykin stabbed a one handed catch...these receivers are special.
Good sign Lopez was able to come in the game and finish it. That's one game for true freshman Files at qb. Hopefully he only plays in 3 more this year.
Proud of the loud UNA fans. I hope we are that loud at home in a couple of weeks.
