You don't have to buy it, I'm just telling you what a prevalent person at UNA told me. He may be stretching the truth, but I wouldn't think he would have a reason to. And it may be a deal were on paper it's one thing but in reality it's another. Must be padding from boosters or something. And he left it in terrible shape I might add.

He was a mediocre coach for a D2 program. Got the majority of his wins against NAIA teams

He can probably make more money in the insurance business than taking a job at a low-level school. Of course, if he still has the itch to coach that can be an issue, but I can understand not wanting to move again and start over at a new school. Assuming he is staying in the Shoals, that is.
