My morning thoughts over coffee.
Matt Brown said we should hear something about the CAA school sometime after the NCAA tournament. Well, how long after. And if they decided not to join, I'm sure nobody would hear anything.
The ASUN is probably in the best shape it's ever been in (after KSU gets out and West Georgia starts)
Why someone on CSNBBS boards thinks the schools who moved to the ASUN was "short sided" is beyond dumb if you ask me.
Anyway, just my thoughts this morning.

That poster thinks of tight geography only.
Very much looking forward to what comes out of all the CAA smoke.

To be honest, as much as I like the idea of the UAC, I wish the next few adds for the ASUN would be football just to ensure that if we have to, the ASUN can maintain football. Keep the UAC for as long as it can, but in my opinion, the WAC schools are more of a wild card. UTRGV is my point. There are also some rumblings that SFA may be looking to go back to the Southland.
That being said, let's get the schools with football we can locked down.
Whoever the CAA school is, West Florida and offer Charleston Southern and Gardner Webb a football only deal if need be.
ASUN football can survive by itself
EKU APSU UCA UNA UWG UWF CAA school or schools.
Then see what Chattanooga and ETSU really want to do.

EKU AD just got hired by JMU. With him gone and the UCA AD taking a different job there, the ASUN football ADs are a lot different than just a few years ago.

Matt Brown telling me that we will not know much about any membership additions until after the ASUN meetings in a couple of weeks.
What he does know he's not at liberty to share at the moment.
To piggyback off of what Andy said, I've also talked to a few local high school players that have visited West Florida and they was told they are about to move to D1.
