I mean looking at the schedule, I am trying to find a for sure win.... Am I missing something? Tarleton - Toss up, lean towards a loss Kennesaw - Best chance to win Jack State - Loss Eastern Kentucky - Loss Central Arkansas - Toss Up, lean towards a loss Austin Peay - Loss Tennessee Tech - Toss up, lean towards a loss Memphis - Loss Tennessee Tech usually isn't very good, and that's at home. I'll count KSU as a win when I see it. Other than that... tough sledding ahead. Our current ranking is #85 on CFP. Below are the remaining rankings.... Tennessee Tech is about our only chance to win www.collegefootballpoll.com/fcs/rankings/Tarleton - #49 Kennesaw - #29 Jack State - #26 Eastern Kentucky - #20 Central Arkansas - #58 Austin Peay - #11 Tennessee Tech - #98 Memphis - FBS

If things don't work out for Will Hall at Southern Miss, then I wouldn't mind having him back. Hell, I'll take Herm Edwards at this point. I would love to take Will Hall back, but USM ain't firing him anytime soon. I know a good bit of people in the coastal Mississippi area and they are very pleased with him. We probably burned that bridge a while back

Dorrell sucked at Abilene Christian which is why he’s back in D2. Hence why he is last on my list, but he still had an unbelievable run at NWMSU. Also NWMSU is in the same conference as Missouri Western which is where Looney came from so he probably has ties. IMO, Dorrell was handed the keys to a (insert your favorite high dollar car) and was told not to scratch it... He did a good job with that... Right now, we ain't a VW Bug... We need someone who can make us a Aston Martin DB5....

Y'all know who could come in and turn this around? Hud. (Cue the groans.) Groan all ya want. LOL. The man can coach football. We've all seen it with our own eyes! From 2015-2020, Gulf Shores football won 9 games in six seasons. Hud came in and went 6-4 in his first season and has opened up 4-1 this year so far. Football is no joke in Mobile and Baldwin counties and GSHS is only 23 years old. You can read his bio. There have certainly been some issues for him, obviously. But, much like Liberty, sometimes you just have to hire a winner on the field. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_HudspethI'm not sure we could afford the GSHS staff but we need them! Edenfield is OC and Paul Rhoads is DC. He's the former Iowa State HC and Auburn DC. Can UNA afford to lure these folks away from the beach and back to college football??

I was a big critic of Hud while he was here, despite the success (I'm a curmudgeon like that). I felt like we were too pass-happy back then. Seems like he might've been ahead of most of the CFB world on that trend. Now that most teams are running a similar offense, I do wonder how successful he would be. I expected Austin Peay to do well with him, but who knows? If it were me I'd probably not leave the beach. But IF he ever wants another shot at a big money job, I wouldn't hate for him to come in and rebuild us and move on in 5 years after beating NDSU for our second straight title . What's wild is, he's still only 53. Pretty young in "coaching years".

Unfortunately he'll probably get retirement. UNA acts like they are broke until its time to buy company trucks for the coaches.

I'd say he was successful in his short time at Austin Peay. 11-4, First 11 win season in school history and first OVC title in 42 years, and first FCS Playoff appearance. From 2013-2016, Austin Peay went 1-45... Just couldn't stay "true...."

For some reason I was thinking he was let go before he ever saw the field.

Don't think that we can get him, but I'd take Paul Chryst over Chris Willis any day!

Don't think that we can get him, but I'd take Paul Chryst over Chris Willis any day! Don't be so sure, out OC is still getting paid by Nebraska, and he isn't taking much if any money from UNA,(not that I would pay him from his performance.) But my point is that, that is more common than you may think. Some guy just want to do the job. I would take his skill, but you have to be able to recruit the South. A mod westerner usually don't have luck in that area. Something LSU is about to realize.

What about Paul Johnson former coach at Georgia Southern, Navy and Georgia Tech? He runs the Triple Option just like Kennesaw State. He's really a good coach.

We ran the triple option in the 1990s, when Bobby Wallace was the coach and that worked out well. Would Paul Johnson want to come out of retirement, though?
