I'll excuse a New England outfit for calling us Northern Alabama, just once. We beat St. Francis for him. It's also good to see he expects GOLD with his purple!

Cantavio Dutreil 2018
Trinity Catholic and Stamford Peace forward Cantavio Dutreil has had an amazing journey over the last few years alongside his teammate Dimitry Moise.
Three years ago, both lived in their native country of Haiti and didn't speak any English. They were discovered during a camp run by POWERforward, a global nonprofit organization that runs camps and educational programs in Haiti and has helped numerous Haitians find host families in the United States, and came to the United States as raw but talented 15 year olds.Their development has been rapid to say the least over the course of the last three years, both athletically and academically. Dutreil averaged nearly 19 points, 13 rebounds, and 4 blocks per game for Trinity Catholic this year and helped the Crusaders to a state championship in his junior season. He was named All-FCIAC First Team, along with Moise, as well as to the FCIAC's All-Defensive Team.
Now, Dutreil will realize his dream of playing division I basketball after committing to Northern Alabama and head coach Tony Pujol, a former Alabama and VCU assistant who was named the program's new head coach last month and will lead them into their first season in the D1 ranks as they join the Atlantic Sun Conference next season.
From New England Scouting Report:
Cantavio Dutreil, Trinity Catholic – One of the best big men in the CIAC this year, Dutreil has all the physical markers to impose his will inside the paint on both ends. He’s also gradually beginning to diversify his attack so that he’ll be capable of playing, and defending, multiple front court positions at the next level.
He was also nominated for the 2018 McDonald's All-American Games.
