TJ Cleveland and it's not even close. Gotta put butts in the seats and that style of basketball is fun to watch. I wonder if Scotty Thurman was interested and/or will join TJ if hired. Just please God no Anthony Grant disciple (Pujol)

I heard good things about Phillip Pearson when he was an assistant under Mark Gottfried at Alabama. I would be surprised if he isn’t out of our price range, but who knows. Might want a shot at running his own program. Same for TJ Cleveland.
Cordaro sounds intriguing. He’s obviously been successful, though it’s hard to know if that would translate to a D1 job. He is also the only one that doesn’t have a tie to our state or at least the ASUN.
Cliff Warren turned around a horrible team (went 1-26 his first season), won consistently for a few years, then sort of tailed off. Hard to know what to make of it. Still, would be nice to have someone who has proven they can win, and probably knows how to recruit Florida. Might not be an awful choice.
I won’t pretend to know a lot about most guys on the list, but I agree with rmfl1988: I’ll pass on anyone associated with Anthony Grant.
I do really like this list though, at least at first glance. Love all the Alabama ties. Makes you believe a guy might decide to stay a while if he is successful for us.

If they are on the list, then we must not be out of their price range or they would not have put their name in the hat. But I like the idea of someone who has won A-Sun championships and has ties to recruiting in Florida.

The more I read about these guys, James Strong is standing out to me more and more. He seems like a hard nosed guy.

Pretty impressive list! I am VERY relieved. Strong was a heady player for the 'Dores and could open the doors of Nashville to the Lions. I like all the candidates. Grant was such a huge disappointment at Bama but many times the assistants are unfairly tainted by the head coach stubbornly refusing to change when his system is obviously not right for the talent available. That can make an assistant a better coach after witnessing, first hand, what happens when you doggedly try to force a square peg into a round hole. Wow! I can't believe how much better this list makes me feel. I was really worried but this IS a D1 list here including Cordaro who's been associated with D1 for most of his career .

Not as up to date on basketball as I am on football but these all look like good candidates based on the write-up.
On some earlier posts I saw a mention of pursuing Tubby Smith. Just saw where he is considering the coaching position at his alma mater, High Point. High Point is, I believe in the Big South.
