From the posting: "Significant collegiate coaching experience required, Division I experience preferred."No chance on Bucky McMillan then I get it, it's hard to gamble when basketball must do well. In that case, I say Sanderson from Faulkner.

Of course, has a big tie to Florence since his father grew up here. But seems his trajectory is moving in the opposite direction. Took Lipscomb from NAIA to DI and did pretty well during that time. But, after a few seasons of DI, the success tapered off and he was fired. Faulkner hired him after his brother retired from there. We need an up-and-coming coach, IMO.

I think the biggest chunk of that 130 mill will be the hotel and convention center. The arena will hold only 4500 so it won't be very large. I can't wait until we get our arena. On campus would have been preferred but we would never have a first class arena if we waited for UNA or Florence to do it.

Haven't heard any updates come out in a while now. Maybe I'm just paranoid due to all the projects planned for the Shoals area that have fallen through one way or another. I do realize this project has seemingly passed several hurdles needed in the state legislature. I believe they were supposed to break ground this spring. I would love to hear a concrete date.

From an article eight months ago: County Commissioner Roger Garner, who is a member the Ag Center Authority that will oversee the funding and hiring of an executive director. “We want to take our time and get this right, but we want to hurry up as much as possible,” Garner said. I'm hoping Will will fly his drone over the site so we can get a look. I started to drive out there but there's a posted sign on the road. I'm not a lucky guy so I decided against the possible punishment.
