Spring game is April 21. This would be a good time forĀ those forum members who would like to meet to get together. Pick spot in the stadium watch the game and shoot the breeze for a bit. Could find out support for your earlier suggestion of tailgate. Could discuss possibility of getting a contingent to some of the road games and so forth. Just a thought. I've seen a few good crowd-involved games but very few. Sure, the title years and those you mentioned but most of that was a decade or more ago. Recently, they've been few and far between and that decline mainly coincided with Bama's (and Auburn's) rise to being in the title hunt every year. One recent game that sticks out was the last second FG a couple of seasons back to beat VSU. The folks that stayed for the end of that game really got into it. Are ND and SD the only states with no FBS football? Tennessee.

There was a good crowd in 2016 when #3 West Georgia missed the fieldgoal after coach Wallace called 3 straight timeouts to ice the kicker to win by 1.

Are ND and SD the only states with no FBS football? Gets less and less every year you don't play schools any UNA core fans don't give a jack crap about beating. Honestly, in my opinion, outside of VSU and Delta, I could have givin a crap about the rest of the GSC except for UWF when they finally decided to play football, and by then it was too late. I really could care less about UWG and Livingston. Just being real, UWG are posers (not the fans, the Athletic department) and UWA should be a great, multi national championship NAIA school. Just my opinion. We actually belong in D1 with a huge number out our peer schools and that is what makes great atmospheres (outside of winning.) JSU gets me excited, so does NDSU, FGCU, Lipscomb, KSU, Chatty, New Orleans, Sam Houston State, And so on. Shorter does nothing but provide a game, and it pisses me off to no end that UNA let some mid-western school like NWMSU take the title of best D2 program of all time away from us. They shouldn't even be in the conversation. Maybe I am drunk, but I'm being honest.

I always tick their fans off when I remind them it's easier to win it all playing in a one team conference. They get defensive and say well this team is pretty good and this one can be tough. I remind them that none of them wins championships while SIX different GSC teams have won it all, 7 if you include UWA's NAIA title. Makes them mad as hell.
