Sources are saying that Coach Mark Hudspeth has accepted the HC position at DI, Louisiana-Lafayette.
Go Coach Hud!

Coach Hudspeth, to no one's surprise, has already 'turned around' the Ragin' Cajuns. They are 4-1 so far after only winning three games last year.
They have a big game next week vs. Troy.
Congrats to him!

Hud beats Edenfield!!! ULL over Troy www.ragincajuns.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=15400&ATCLID=205313459The Ragin' Cajuns football team extended its winning streak to five games, leading from start to finish in a 31-17 victory over Troy Saturday evening at Cajun Field in front on 29,775 fans which marked the sixth-largest crowd in school history. The win improved Louisiana to 5-1, the best start for the program since 1970 which was the last time the Cajuns played in a bowl game (1970 Grantland Rice Bowl). As the 2011 season reached the midpoint, UL is now one win shy of becoming bowl eligible in head coach Mark Hudspeth's inaugural season. The Cajuns also tied the 2001 Middle Tennessee squad for the best start by a team in Sun Belt Conference history. Louisiana took the opening kick and marched 80 yards on 10 plays to take an early 7-0 lead on a one-yard touchdown pass by Chris Masson to Larry Pettis and never looked back in halting a five-game losing streak to Troy (2-3, 1-1 Sun Belt). If I didn't know Hud like we do, this would almost be unbelievable. Good for them.

He's definitely a competitor. Will be interesting to follow his career. ULL can only keep him a year or so more, I'll bet.
