What are the prospects of making the postseason this year after getting snubbed last season?
How does the GSC look?

What are the prospects of making the postseason this year after getting snubbed last season? How does the GSC look? We got shafted last year. The GSC is tough, Delta is #1 in the country.

Lions doing well, only 3 losses so far and it was the first 3 games in San Diego (very long road trip) and against a top baseball team. Since then, we look kinda dominant, will be interesting to see this team in the GSC schedule. I think we may have a top 10 team this year.

I don't understand why our single games against Union, West Alabama and Auburn-Montgomery aren't counted as conference games.

I don't understand why our single games against Union, West Alabama and Auburn-Montgomery aren't counted as conference games. I asked the same thing with no reply. The only thing I can come up with is that the total number of teams and the number of regular season conference games would be off. So I would imagine all GSC schedules have one that is lime that.

Scratch that, looks like UNA and Union are the only ones.

I don’t know for sure, but my guess would be that if UNA can’t fill out the schedule with out of conference opponents, they can schedule conference teams to fill those out of conference spots.

You would think that they could schedule NAIA teams like Martin Methodist. They have done that in the past.

You would think that they could schedule NAIA teams like Martin Methodist. They have done that in the past. I guess it just depends. Travel is probably the biggest issue for most schools, especially in a “minor” sport like baseball. Baseball is a bit of a red-headed stepchild when it comes to NCAA sports anyway, thought maybe that’s a rant for another day. Obviously you wouldn’t think Martin Methodist would have the travel issue, but there could be others. Maybe UNA would rather play presumably tougher competition in another D2 team, even if it means seeing that team several times per year. Maybe MM now prefers to not play NCAA teams. This is is a situation that should improve next year. I don’t usually notice D1 teams having this issue.
