2 of our opponents are in the National Championship game.
6 of our opponents made the playoffs.
If injuries had not occurred I think we had a rematch of week 1.
The question I have is this-
DID UNA JUST PLAY THE TOUGHEST SCHEDULE IN D2 HISTORY?

I’m very surprised at the progress that program at UWF made. Maybe I shouldn’t be, though. There are a lot of resources in Florida for them (and FIT) to be successful. Plus, who wouldn’t want to play football almost literally on the beach?
I do wonder if having success this quickly will inspire them to look at moving up faster, or if they’ll want to enjoy a few years of being a top dog in D2. It will be an interesting situation to watch going forward.

I definitely think UNA played one of the toughest schedules ever this year. The timing sucks, for sure.
And UWF has definitely surprised everyone, even themselves. It also just seems to be in the cards for them this year. I truly think Midwestern State would have beaten them early on in the year (the game was canceled due to hurricane in south FL) and kept them out of the playoffs.
I really thought this was West Alabama's year, regardless of UNA's injury situation.

Well, UNA lost to the D2 national champ by 1 point after missing 4 FG.
