Not a lot in the way of news or things to discuss during these long days of summer. So I thought I'd throw this question out there, just for fun.
I have two games that I rank at the top. The first was the 1994 championship game. If y'all remember, it rained the entire game. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Ronald McKinnon had a pick-6 that was ultimately the winning score. I was 11 years old. We were probably 4 or 5 rows up from the field. As the final seconds ticked off, a wave of people started moving down the stands. My dad looked at me and said something like "I think we'll have to go out on the field". Not that that was a horrible thing to have to do. Running around in the mud, high-fiving the players was a great memory. That was the only game of the three I was lucky enough to go to - watched the other two on TV.
The other game, believe it or not, was a loss. It was the 2007 (maybe 2006?) semifinal against Northwest Missouri in Braly. There was a bad call (AJ Milwee clearly scoring a TD but the ref disagreeing), some questionable coaching decisions (Hudspeth taking a field goal off the board after a penalty on a drive that I believe we ended up not scoring on), and a lot of just great football. Plus I think it began at 10:00 in the morning. I was in the student section with some buddies, and it was the loudest I've ever heard Braly. I remember after the game we were all obviously upset, but then a "U-N-A!" chant broke out. Yeah, we lost, but I felt proud of my school chanting those letters (if it's not a bit cheesy). Side note: between that game, the "wind bowl" in the 2008 playoffs (I think we had a punt actually go backwards), and last year's ice/snow bowl... I really wish we could beat NWMSU! Hopefully we'll get one more shot at them this year.
