Slow day here at the office, so indulge me for a minute. I saw this tweet below, so I thought I'd start a thread where we could put all university news in one place and discuss it if we'd like to.
With enrollment going over 10,000 I feel like the university is now a pretty different place than what most of us probably remember. I think enrollment was more like 6000 even 15 years ago when I graduated. That's a big jump in such a short time. I'm not saying it's a bad thing. Obviously, it's better for a school to be growing than not. I just wonder where all the people are going, since it seemed like parking lots and buildings were full two decades ago. Of course, a lot (if not most) of these new students may be online only.

He said most people are parking down town. They have been told they want to build a couple of new parking lots and a parking deck with the stadium. There are wooded areas that the school owns down on the way to cypress creek. Also a few lots around the intramural field. The deck should go in the parking lot behind Flowers.

I think that would tie in nicely with the new stadium and obviously help students during the week. I like building "up". I'd prefer to see the wooded areas kept that way unless or until that space is just absolutely needed.
