I think the UAC is a pretty good proposition. The only drawback is stability. If the schools within support the conference, share goals, work together to build each other up (a la SEC) the conference can be strong and go far.
SoCon: in the long run I do not think we are a good fit. We are public and not private. I think our goals are different and I also believe we would outgrow it inside of 15 to 20 years.
OVC: well there is a bit of bad blood but, I think it could be overcome. Here too, I believe we would outgrow it.
Southland: stable for the now, maybe, and only recently. To me, not a good fit. In many ways, we may have already outgrown.
I honestly believe UNA is on the cusp of rapid growth because the region is and growth feeds on growth.

I like the ASUN and fine with the UAC. But, if that goes south, I hope the ASUN can pull teams to keep the AQ. It would really open up the conference to pull UWF and VSU (maybe UWG) which would fill out the map nicely.
