So, I am in the process of starting a new podcast about the ASUN/UAC.
I'm still in the format planning and thought, let's gets som input from, well yall.
So I got questions
How long should it average per podcast?
How many episodes a week? 1 or 2?
Would any one of you be interested in being on the podcast? Regularly or as guests?

The ones I like don't have long winded BS that don't have anything to do with anything. I hate those. I was thinking between 30-40 minutes depending on the subject and if I can interview certain guests, like athletic directors, coaches etc. Anyone know anyone that may be interested in sponsorships or advertising, let me know.

FCS Fans Nation has a whole suite of podcasts. Last year they had a weekly with put on by two guys (one from Jax State and one from Cent Arky). One of those fellers might be moving on. You may want to check them out (Spotify and YouTube).

The problem is Will, from UCA, got married and is trying to get his PHD so he told me he may not have time to do it himself. We talked about me and the guy from SFA doing it, but haven't heard anything in a while. I think it would be easier and in a way more freedom if I do my own.

We talked about me and the guy from SFA doing it, but haven't heard anything in a while. I think it would be easier and in a way more freedom if I do my own. I listen to this podcast and it's pretty entertaining. The folks involved are very knowledgeable and would seem to be doing this as a public service. This is not their job and the time invested seems to be purely out of their love for the (FCS) sport. If not for them, and their kind, the analytical coverage of FCS football would be a wasteland. Speaking of the time invested, it is obviously a lot. These type podcasts come and go. I think the reason is two-fold 1) it takes a lot of time to gain traction and 2) because of the time involved they are hard to sustain (burnout, concentration on your money paying job, family, pursuing your PHD, etc..). FCS Nation seems to have gained some traction because they have managed to get enough dedicated people together to spread the workload. They seem to have some guidelines on how they want to do things but they also are aware of their limitations and manage to address by being flexible. Just some of my armchair observation. I would take another run at them. I say this because trying to do this on your own may actually cost you some of your day to day freedom. A good support group could help keep this enjoyable venture from turning into a chore.

Update...
I've been trying to get everything together and do the best job I can in this endeavor.
Money is an issue for equipment and frankly, I'm behind the times as far as technology goes. My step son is helping me and may be my co host. But he will likely do editing for me.
I have emailed Commissioner Bacon and told him what I'm doing, and asked him some questions to go on the first podcast. Hopefully he answers and my first episode can go up soon.
It will be a "State of the ASUN/UAC type show.
Will notify yall on specifics later.
