KSU's coach has left for USF. Wonder who they will hire? I imagine several of those returning players will transfer and follow him to St. Pete.
The ASUN will be wide open next season.

Well, unless other things happen, I think EKU, Lipscomb, UNA, Queens, and Bellarmine are the top 5 for next season...

Ortiz could hit from deep, he was our consistent deep threat. Howell and KJ sometimes hit them just not their strength. We get another perimeter player and another big guy with abilities I like our team a lot. We also some minutes from our bench, couple guys that can come in make some things happen in their minutes.

Wow. All of KSU’s returning starters have transferred to USF today. That shows how a mid-major can be on top of the world and then in rebuilding mode within a few weeks.

You are correct, but in the same way it hurs you, it can be the reason your on top. Look at the tournament this year... no transfer portal, we would be stuck with primarily the same boring basketball schools taking it over...

CUSA will host their tournament in Huntsville. Well... Opportunity wasted for the ASUN in my opinion.

CUSA will host their tournament in Huntsville. Well... Opportunity wasted for the ASUN in my opinion. I'm not so sure Huntsville was the right destination for the ASUN. With the FL schools and Queens, it seems the ATL area (home of ASUN headquarters) might be a better fit. Look at the map and imagine JSU, KSU, and Liberty gone from it. It's a big gap in the center and no one would have a "home game" per se in ATL. There is an arena near the ATL airport in College Park, GA that's 30 mins from ASUN headquarters. The Gateway Center Arena hosts teams from the NBA G League and the WNBA. It seats 3.5K for basketball and opened in 2019.

Yeah, I guess Rome or Dalton (something a little closer to Chattanooga would be a little better. Or even Sevierville or Pigion Forge (I think they still have an arena). But even baseball can be there and play at the Smokies stadium. I've watched a few games there, it's a lot like Toyota but I think a little smaller.

Getting too far away from the FL schools if it’s any farther north than ATL. The Atlanta area is an 8 hour drive or less for every school in the conference and the Gateway Center is basically part of the airport property for those that want to fly. Perfect location. It’s also not too close to any one school as UNA, Lipscomb, and Queens are the closest with a 4-hour drive. I also like that the arena relatively new and isn’t too big. The ASUN could make a nice atmosphere there.

Still for baseball, Rome would be close enough for a tournament. I like the basketball arena you posted.
