No plan. No stake in the ground. Round and round we go.

A bowl game would be fun to have in the shoals, did he say how big they are talking about building it? I mean capacity would have to be bigger to draw a bowl game I would expect. He didn't get that detailed, I doubt that part has even been discussed... at least with the general employees. I would say 20k would be the sweet spot for a new stadium. Honestly it wouldn't need to be any bigger. Most of the issues I've heard from people who really follow UNA, live close and would normally attend games but don't is Parking, congestion in the stadium, and easier access for the older crowd. I know a few people in the Athletic club that just can't walk up and down the hills at Braly, especially when they can't park close to the stadium. That would also be a problem on campus. And it is a problem for basketball and baseball. That's why you see more of a crowd by comparison at softball games. He did say, the football stadium would be football alone, and they would more than likely use an existing soccer field for a soccer stadium... I guess they would just add seats and a press box? I would hope they make it nice and both stadiums could seamlessly blend together. I look at it as an opportunity to make a great atmosphere from tailgating to the actual game. But like I said, this info is from an employee, and nothing has, to our knowledge, been confirmed, but in the proposal stage. Off-topic, and maybe we’ve talked about it here before, but I wonder if there’s been any thought into building a parking deck in that lot behind Flowers? Obviously it would help with available parking, but it could also bring folks up to ground level with both Flowers and the baseball field. You could build a walkway from there over to the field (behind the football practice field). Maybe even build a new entrance to Flowers on that side if possible. I know a lot of the reasons things like this don’t happen are “because money”, but that certainly seems like a needed project that I can’t see any obvious drawbacks or challenges to actually get done.
