Kinda to be expected during this pandemic. The discussion should heat up again when things get back to normal. At least they aren't talking about dropping sports like some others are. We should probably count our blessings.

Understand there are uncertainties such as Covid-19 and the future alignment of football (Big South, ASun, UAC, who knows...). Do not understand why there is no organized stadium fund raising program. Anything that could have been raised during this transition period would have been a help. Long term a stadium is needed. Why wait to start raising $s?

Sounds like they might be going after corporate donors or a major Corporation and being turn down.

Do not understand why there is no organized stadium fund raising program. Anything that could have been raised during this transition period would have been a help. Long term a stadium is needed. Why wait to start raising $s? Right. My fear is that every day we wait, we fall farther behind in trying to compete in FCS. If the stadium gets pushed back, say, five years, ok... are we planning to invest in Braly in the meantime? Because laugh if you want, but recruits pay attention to things such as video boards, just for example. And if you bring them to Braly and they see our 1998 scoreboard that will not leave them very impressed. If we spend the next five years recruiting lower tier athletes, we will be hard pressed to beat the likes of Kennesaw and Monmouth, nervermind the JMUs and NDSUs. We are between the proverbial rock and a hard place if we have an uncertain timeline. Braly is no longer “good enough”, IMO.

Sounds like they might be going after corporate donors or a major Corporation and being turn down. Maybe so. If they are going to fill it, it will take students, alumni, and locals to get that ball rolling. Why not let them contribute, now, towards a stadium where they can have some skin in the game? Loyalty is not only earned, it is cultivated.

Well, at least this is news about it being delayed. Season attendance and especially attendance for JSU game and homecoming should provide some much needed information. Hopefully we will pack that ol’ stadium for another couple of years and then remember all the memories we enjoyed there...as we start making memories in Anderson Stadium at Wallace field.
