With the talk of "Super Conferences" coming in the future of college athletics, I got to thinking of a FCS, football "Super Conference"
With the possibility of Monmouth leaving for a closer conference, and Presbyterian moving to the Pioneer League, and really no real replacements for them, that would potentially put the Big South at 6 football members.
When the ASUN and Big South agreed to partner, one thing that was said by both commissioners stood out to me, "Partnerships is the future of college athletics."
So, with the Big South looking at 6 football members, and the possibility of "Super Conferences" what if the Big South, ASUN and SoCon made the same deal for football. All Big South and ASUN scholarship football goes to the SoCon?
Same geographical footprint, and natural built in rivalries.
That would be a 16 team league.

You would have to put some kind of rotating schedule with protected rivalry games, but I think it could work. And it would be a very strong conference.
