Man... who in the world is Jacksonville playing? Or NOT playing? That’s awful.
Like I said in another thread, I’d rather have a schedule like this and get beat than play a bunch of scrubs. If the ASUN wants to improve overall, they should make it a point that no team has a schedule any worse than, say, 200. Maybe even 150. I think it would be very beneficial in the long run.

I agree with the theory, but it's hard to determine who from year to year makes your schedule stronger.

I agree with the theory, but it's hard to determine who from year to year makes your schedule stronger. Oh no doubt, but I think there are some measures you can take. We are playing three NAIA schools this year, but hopefully in the future we will try to avoid doing that. Jacksonville's schedule includes several of those as well (just picking on them since theirs is ranked so low). To be fair, I do think the ASUN teams probably struggle to schedule home non-conference games due to just being a lower-tier conference. I'm not sure exactly how to fix that immediately. You don't want your guys to have to play 10 road games before conference play. If I were AD at UNA or any other conference team, I'd probably try to offer some bigger schools some 2-for-1 deals. We'll play at your place two times but you visit us once. At least that would help some of the imbalance.

Hoping the tough schedule has helped prepare us for league play. The injury bug kept the team from developing more chemistry. Conference play should be fun...

Kansas beat Gonzaga. If a bunch of 70 year old musicians can take'em, we gotta shot.
