There are students scattered out everywhere, they need to make the stands behind the goal the student section. And out of 7k plus students, they should start showing up. Why dont they?

We need some shooters next year. Anthony Grant was fired from AL because he always focused on hustle and defense but his teams couldn't score enough to win consistently. Yep. A lot of teams in the south end up recruiting guys that are athletic, but aren’t necessarily great basketball players. Sometimes those guys can be coached into good players, but not always. I’d love to see us recruit some shooters from the northeast or Midwest, places where kids have nothing to do during the winter but go to a gym and shoot hoops. Certainly we should be able to find a player or two that would be happy to come down south where it’s a little warmer.

Kids are just not as into college sports as us older alumni. Heck, they can't even get folks to basketball games in Tuscaloosa lately. On camera, we mainly are seeing the enthusiastic group behind our bench and scorer's table. If we could fill that entire side downstairs with folks like them it'll look great on the broadcast.

Need every seat all the way down behind the JSU seats full. Like they do on award shows full. When someone leaves, someone is there to take their place. That's all we're seeing on cam. Would be best if it was full of crazy students end to end.

If you're just having an off day shooting, I'm an advocate of letting other take the bulk of the shots. But, that's just me.

Lions still playing and hustling. We have to recall that JSU's program was just in the big dance a couple season's back.

Blackmon got hot and the Lions made it a game near the end. Certainly proud of that effort late.
I think we can get them at their place in a few weeks if we have a better start.
Roar Lions!
Their football still getting man-handled up in Maine.

It is my understanding that the end behind the goal was at first intended for students. Downstairs is reserved for Sportsman Club Members. When the Sportsman Club Members were selecting their seats less than 10 requested to be on the side behind the benches and the scorers table, At that time they decided to move the students to behind the team bench. Apparently a lot of the Sportsman Club Members didn’t want basketball season tickets. (I am a Sportsman Club Member) When they decided the put the students behind the bench. I had to move from the seat that I had requested. I am still on that side behind the scorers table. Today I believe they didn’t have enough seats reserved for Jax State fans. Sportsman’s Club Section Tickets (Downstairs and require club membership): $20 Reserved Section B Tickets (Upstairs): $15 General Admission Tickets (Upstairs): $10 Youth General Admission: $5 (Ages 5-17)

Whew...that first half was hard to watch? We need an identity on offense. Right now it looks like back up and throw it at the basket. Of course many times we just turn it over for playing out of control. You could tell the seasoned team today vs the new kids on the block. We did put forth great effort and had a chance to make some noise...and then threw a really long 3 pointer at it. Lead was down to 7. Blackmon makes his free throws. Agnew needs to start practicing his free throws. Guards should be no worse than 80 percent on free throws. I love the effort from the player from Haiti, Dutreil. 5 was very active on both ends. We could have used Littles today? Not sure what happened to him? Poor student section was wanting a reason to get into the game for soooo long. They helped in the 2nd half, if our team can take the 2nd half and build, they get that first big win.
Roar Lions and look out Xavier women!
