The Lions welcome UNA's first-ever DI opponent in hoops to town (possibly ever, but definitely) as a DI program.
There were less than 400 folks there for the Stillman game. I hope more show up for this one.
Roar Lions!!

I’m guessing the women playing several of these recent games by themselves, as in, without a men’s game to follow, could be hurting attendance. The “value” of buying tickets and watching all of at least some of both games is a lot higher when both are playing, especially for families.
Hopefully folks can start to wake up to the fact that this women’s team could be the best we’ve ever put on the floor. They are fun to watch and need more people to come out to see them.

I think it has more to do with who they are playing. I dont think too many people care about Stillman, Blue Mountain and so on. Bama State should bring interest to most of the fan base. On the flip side, early season, I have watched several games on TV (men's and women's) in "power conferences" that only had a few hundred in attendance, and playing D1 schools.

That's probably part of it. And you're right, attendance is down for even power conference teams, just like in football. It's a whole lot easier to sit in your living room and watch the game.

It may be easier, but not as fun, at least to me... In basketball, unless you are a "Blue Blood" program, early season attendance is just going to be low. It should increase (depending on who you are playing) a little after football season is over, and increasing more the closer to March it gets. That is also dependent on how good you are doing when March approaches of course.

Possibly the sloppiest half of basketball I've ever witnessed. UNA up 32-16 at the break.

This game a little tougher than most of our games played. Our toughest game has been Vandy. VANDY,while SEC, is not the cream of the SEC crop based on last year. ASU has many losses but some against SEC Kentucky and South Carolina (very much cream of the crop). I'm sure they've learned a few things...so them playing tough is not out of the realm. Enjoying on Espn+.

Although sloppy, dominant win by the Lions tonight.

We have plenty of things to clean up. Always take a win, but it looks like we are getting too confident with all those mistakes. Hope that gives the coaches a little incentive before the tournament this weekend. ESPN plus is great! ESPN3 is also great. Love watching our teams play!
