Hard to believe we are this late in the football schedule? Not much to say about Shorter program other than there is definitely consistency. The consistency is what Shorter is trying to change. So we will shift our focus from the actual game strategy to who will play? I think we will get an opportunity to see several freshman suit up and participate in the 2nd half. Cummings at LB, Price/Howell at RB, Collier/Woodruff at Tackles. Foster/Beddingfield at DE. Kennebrew at WR. Who else do think may hit the field? This will be exciting in a different way, getting to see a glimpse of the future of North Alabama football. First we must take care of business in the first half.

This is the type of game where I really love the new redshirt rule. If a guy has played in fewer than four games up to this point, Saturday might be the day to get him out there on the field. Of course, I'm not showing a lot of respect to Shorter in saying that. But if we don't win and win big, it won't be an exaggeration to call it a disaster. I really hope to see a continuation of our play from the JSU game. I believe that's the team we expected to see coming into this season.

I also expect to see more CJ Sturdivant this week. Pulling for that guy, so tough your first carry in college and torn ACL. Year later he seems to be strong and fully recovered....physically and hopefully mentally too. I hope we have a lot of recruits coming in the next two weeks, should be great games for them to watch. The 10th will have so many people in the stands for preview day and the band extravaganza. Plan on being there early...

Files will be back this week. I know it hasn't been brought up very much, but the kid lost his mom the night before the homecoming game and this will be his first week back playing. Can't even imagine what thats like for an 18/19 year old freshman in college. Hope to see him play on Saturday. A lot of people excited about the future of our offense with him and the 2 freshman running backs learning the system. Really looking forward to watching Cummings and Kennebrew get some work. Fun week to say the least.

Who was at the Shorter game with the megaphone guy that yelled DeeDeeDeeDeeDeeDeeDeeDeeDeeDeeDeeDee.....like the whole game? Miss that guy... he is without a doubt the most memorable visiting fan for me and my wife. If I remember right his wife had a bell or something? She was not that loud or noticeable...megaphone man stole the show.

Defense looks rough to start the 3rd but saved by the INT.

I’m out of town with the family this weekend, so didn’t get a chance to watch any of the game. Maybe I’m just greedy, but I expected... a bigger score? Did we play a lot of guys? I could see that being a reason for the closer score. And I know the game wasn’t close, I’m just saying...

The only thing that continues to piss me off is the lack of enthusiasm of the FANS... that hat to by far be the quietest crowd I have ever heard, even by UNA standards. Even the normal golf clap was quiter than normal...
If any of us on the board is one of them, I hope you are ashamed, recruits, good ones were at the game, that makes them think nobody really cares about the team or the game.
So, at the game, I decided, I will take the idea of having a group, that will not care how outrageous or loud we are and get us reserved seats, and a tailgate area. I will also talk to the AD and President about maybe getting a ticket package for members. It will not be the sportsman club, but it will be fun and fellowship. And a family atmosphere.
Anyone who wants to help, please message me...

Love where we sit! The ladies in front of us cheer the entire game, it’s not just us anymore. Some guy has starting close to us since he knows we are going to cheer. The crowd next week will be huge! Get there early or you may have to sit on visitor side. Band extravaganza and preview day on the same day? Wow! Lot of people will be there thru 3 quarters awaiting the scholarship announcement.
Notes from today. Sturdivant showed quickness and acceleration on his long TD run. He should be the favorite to start next year with Howell and Price helping. Kennebrew looks very impressive...almost took his first touch to the house. Great speed and size. Foster with his length caused an incomplete pass, he really needs to put in some muscle and pass moves. Cummings missed a chance to stop a TD late, good news is that he read it correctly, just failed to make the play. Great opportunity to coach him up. Liked seeing Woodruff and Collier and bookend tackles. Two big dudes right there.

Weather looks even better for Saturday against North Greenville. Highs in mid 50’s! Finally get to wear a long sleeve shirt to a game? Really shocked this will be the last game of the year? Next year playing for the Big South championship should help, along with all games being D1...no let down games like against West Florida. I will send a scouting update tomorrow. Have some reports I need to submit tonight.
