I think it has to be said here... obviously the other ASUN fans probably know next to nothing about our teams. And besides, I doubt any except the most diehard of fans would be voting for someone that isn't on their own team for a player of the year award. A couple of our ladies also won these fan awards, I noticed. So...
Are we just that much more of an engaged fan base than any other ASUN team?
I actually think it's possible. While some of these schools are bigger, I would say we have a better all-around athletic tradition than anyone else in the conference. Plus we've been competing for 60+ years. Heck, FGCU has only existed since 1991.

Heck, FGCU has only existed since 1991. That has the most to do with it. FGCU has a lot of fans that shown up due to their success in Basketball lately, before that, probably not much of a fan base. Stetson and Lipscomb are pretty established in terms of age. And we all know what kind of fan base Liberty has.
