So far there have been no updates about last night's game. The only article remains the short description posted last night. Very unusual. Hmmmm

Probably around midnight or latter getting out of the Stadium after the game. I sure they probably went to church this morning. Then there was a volleyball game today at 2, then a soccer game at 4 this afternoon. A assume that could be the reason.

Maybe but considering football usually gets about 20 times the coverage of soccer and volleyball put together, I still wonder.

Some rough, harsh threats were thrown out there in the heat of the moment. Could be some backlash.

Even though we have had other close games and, indeed, lost to NDSU (not unexpected), last night could be the first real adversity the team has faced. By this I mean the first three games were expected to be close and many would have not been shocked if we had come out of them 1-2. We got beat at NDSU but I think we still came out of it feeling pretty good about ourselves. Last night we faced a very good D2 team...but still D2. The expectation, even though we are not far removed from D2, was to not struggle. Well as Virginia Tech can tell you, a surprise can come from out of the blue. Yesterday was weird. People got hyped then had to wait for 2.5 hours. Game started not to much before when it should have been ending. Time zone advantage was flipped. Got behind with AP's first offensive play. My thought is there was an overload of oddities and we wuz discombobulated. My hope is Sunday was used as a day of introspection and reflection and not a day of wailing, moaning, and pointing fingers. We have a good team. Every week is a new learning and growing experience. Yesterday was an odd day and an aberration. Reckon the team needs to sit back and take a hard look at this game and ask themselves what were the actions that made us succeed and what were the actions that caused us to struggle. Take the week to strengthen the former and eliminate the latter. Then toward the end of the week climb on the transportation and enjoy the trip through North Carolina. When they get to Campbell...well play ball like a "team" under control and sure of themselves. So sure of themselves that they let their good play do the talking. This is a Big South game one year early. Let's let our efficient and good play send the message of what is coming.

Someone posted earlier about how flat the team looked. I agree with the flat part...3 FG’s in the first half? Lot of disappointments Saturday night for our kids. Delayed start, weather deterred several thousand fans, and we went from playing all the D1 schools back to D2. Our home games may just be the hardest games we play this year due to games being D2 instead of D1. Hopefully this week will learn more about the open date on our schedule. I know the coaches wanted to end the year where they could go somewhere special and end ii similar to a bowl type thing. Now it is a wait and see.

They need to get division out of their heads this season. UWF will smack us in the mouth again if we have that mentality. It's all football.
