We travel to NC to face the Fighting Camels this week. It's our only Big South opponent this season.
I think it's a big deal to win this one. Hopefully, Willis will get these guys in gear and go up there with a new attitude!
Roar Lions!

Wonder if we’ll get any Camels running around the message board... And will they be as friendly as the Bison?

Do the Camels get smoked this weekend? Uniforms camelflage? I hope they are not bringing the Camelry.....ok...that's all I got. I look forward to our Monday scouting report on roarlions. I have not followed those guys this year, anyone know much about them?

Just another casualty in the Lions' desert.
I hope.

I have not followed those guys this year, anyone know much about them? It's hard to get a read on them. I went over and looked at their schedule. They've played two D2 HBCU teams, and won both games pretty comfortably. They played Georgetown, which is in the non-scholarship Patriot league (and aren't very good). They squeaked that one out 13-8. Finally they lost a couple of weeks ago to FBS Coastal Carolina by several touchdowns. This is their first year in the Big South, but up until last year they were also in the Patriot league I believe. I'm not sure exactly how the transition to scholarship football works, but I would assume some of their guys are still... well, Patriot-league quality. That doesn't necessarily mean bad players, but obviously the better ones will go where they can find a scholarship. Campbell was 6-5 last year, FWIW. I do think we should have the better team.

Thanks. I like their website. You can click on their highlights and watch only the highlights of each game for them. We have something similar on our UNA Football Twitter page after each game.

Only noticed one change in our starting lineup this week vs. Campbell. Dread is listed as the starting middle linebacker. Everyone else is listed as the same position as the prior week.

Agree. I am not taking away from AP, played hard and had a legit chance to pull off the upset, but The Camels appears to be a better team. Balance on offense is impressive mixed with some explosive plays in the passing game. I am already excited about watching this game.

He said he’ll get this fixed or the problem(s) will be gone. I sure hope that’s the case.

Listened to Coach Willis recapping the game on Facebook, and he provided some updates on players. I believe I heard him say they are appealing Riko Morris' and Christon Taylor's suspension. Based on the targeting rule, Riko is suspended for the first half of the game. Taylor may be suspended the whole game.

This is shaping up to be a good ballgame. The dual threat qb could be a problem. He is putting up big numbers and seems to be an intelligent player. I hope our guys can’t put some pressure on him but contain those running lanes at the same time. Lopez should be close to 100 percent. I hope his wheels help him get back his rhythm in the passing game. He did make some clutch throws last week, but his percentage was way down and just seemed off a little. Great news on Hardin being able to play, hoping Byrd has recovered and will be ready to go for this game. He is a difference maker and was missed last week. Game is being broadcast on ESPN+. I hope their announcers are better than some of the others, wish it was Lions crew.
So I got looking ahead for 6th and forecast for next Saturday is showing 50 percent...same as it was early for last week....ugghhh.
