Just my gut feeling, but I smell upset all over this game. And I'm not trying to be a homer either. I feel we match up well overall with SUU, both have QB situations from what I can understand. The only thing I am most concerned about is the thin air. That may play the biggest role against UNA. But if they overcome that, I think UNA comes away with a 10+ point victory and turn some heads in the new world we now live in, in FCS football.

We should be the more excited team. That being said we cannot afford penalties and turnovers early. Kicking game could be what decides the outcome? Also we have some coaches calling the shots that are new in the position and it will be live in the game...not easy. I hope we prepared as a team. I think we will be ready for the challenge. I expect a low scoring affair...so it will probably 58-57.

Awesome. I know some of those guys were nervous. Now they need to focus, first game representing North Alabama in D1. You know the local news will be all over it......after Bama and Auburn of course.

Have no clue what to expect this season
… well, other than watching my Lions get mercilessly curb-stomped by North Dakota State.

Have no clue what to expect this season … well, other than watching my Lions get mercilessly curb-stomped by North Dakota State. Growing pains. They stomped us in 1985 but it showed us how much farther we had to go to win it all.

If this defense plays like they are capable we will be in every game. The offense has to gel quickly and can not afford 3 and outs. Move the sticks, give the defense a chance to catch their breath and win field position battle. We need to create some short fields and see what happens...maybe something special does happens on special teams?

Shouldn’t with the temperature being in 60’s. Our guys may welcome the cooler weather.
