I dont mind a few here and there during the transition, I guess it's hard to get a full marquee schedule in our situation. I'll take it considering what we have for the rest of the schedule..

I assume scheduling was tough this first season.

We should have been able to get D2 schools before NAIA. Just wondering if those schools were added to the schedule while Champagne was still the Coach.

I don't really see a problem with this. I think D2 schools would be preferable, but it's not like we have to be too concerned with our RPI. I think the important things about playing a couple of those types of games are a.) it's a guaranteed home game that we don't have to repay with a visit to their place sometime in the future, and b.) it SHOULD be a win and maybe a confidence booster for our guys in a season that might have some otherwise tough losses.

Found out it was hard to find D1 schools to play in Florence and D2 schools didn't want to play a regular season game without a big guarantee.

Kudos to Jacksonville State for agreeing to come here. They didn’t have to, so I think it’s a really nice gesture on their part. We can hate them all we want, but I appreciate them doing their part to get the series restarted.

As far as playing a few non-D1 teams, it will be a good thing for the players to get a few wins. I hope not but it will probably be a VERY difficult season with several lopsided losses. With so many young players, we don't need them completely demoralized.

Totally forgot about that. I take back the nice things I said about them

We'll have plenty of chances to get back to hating them in the near future.

Wonder if Zags fans and Pitt fans are asking why they are playing North Alabama? Imagine Few...couldn’t help myself there...have heard of North Alabama. I hope we give them a reason to remember us.

The women are playing a few lower level teams as well. Dont have a problem with it through the transition, but I do have a problem with no East Alabama Red Hens. At least give us that.

JSU at UNA Dec 18th. UNA at JSU I think it was to give each other a decent home game.
