We are not alone with that problem. In our border states, FCS programs in Georgia are strangled by the Dawgs.I'm sure Jackson State plays fifth fiddle to both Ole Miss and Mississippi State. Even though the Vols have been down the last few years, you see that ugly orange in Nashville, Martin, Cookeville and Clarkville. LSU dominates SE Louisiana, Nichols, etc. Florida? I have no idea. Poor A&M. Florida has 17 D1 programs and 13 play football.

Doing some studying of this schedule, judging by the way we played in game 1, and thinking we should get better, I'm looking at an 8 win season at worst in 2019. The road games in 2019 are tough...Montana has a good team, Jacksonville State will be tough, Kennesaw Sate will be tough, Gardner Webb on the road tough. Western Illinois tough opener.

It would get better for us if our UNA fans/alumni would spend their time and money at UNA rather than one of the other schools mentioned that they didn't have anything to do with. It's just "cool" to be on the bandwagon. Myself wiyll stay on the UNA train. Watch out JSU, Troy, A&M, BState, South Alabama, UAB, Samford, enjoy it while you can, we are back. SMH! That is just flat out wrong of your locals/alumni!! That's a major negative right there. That kinda attitude behavior wouldn't fly up here. The least they could do is support UNA first and then Bama as their pet team or whatever. Coming up to NDSU with your AD and President was one of the very first steps in getting butts back in the seats. Get the team in order and the second that season comes around that you're eligible for the playoffs, kick some ass, get in and make a run.People will take notice.ñ Everyone thought that we wouldn't be a threat and look how that's ended up!We said "Oh yah, you'll see". We blew right by them and haven't looked back. JMU is getting there. The Bison have forced their fellow conference teams to get better or get left behind forever. SDSU has stepped up their game big time. The MVFC is a total meat grinder and NDSU has a target on their back every bloody year. Everyone wants to beat us like no other. It's frickin tough to be at the top. Very tough. You guys are headed in the right direction and be fully confident that you'll get there as well. There's nothing like a being a giant killer. One of the more popular signs our fans make to take to the past Championship games in Frisco is "Bring on Bama!" Lol. Hell, why not? It be interesting to see how the Bison stacked up. I think most teams who step up for an un-winnable challenge go with the proper expectations and goals. Those games DO help you know where you stand and which direction to take. To me, the only downside would be suffering a lot of injuries but let's face it, you get a lot of injuries in practice. They happen.

Hated to start a new discussion just for this, so I thought I'd post it here. FBSSchedules.com is now showing us playing a home-and-home with Southeastern Louisiana in 2021/2022. We go there in 2021, play them at home in 2022.
Fun fact, their nickname? The Lions.

You have no idea. NDSU is just very lucky to have no competition (for fans or on the field). Bama is like the NFL team for the state of AL. Just a totally different "ballgame" down here.

That's him. DSU hasn't been the same since he left. OOPS: Nope, he got hired by Lafayette as DC when Hud and crew got fired in the offseason. SELA has a new head coach.

Yep, Ron Roberts WAS their coach. I suppose it’s possible he started the wheels in motion to set up a meeting between us and them, even if he left before it was finalized. Can’t say Hammond, Louisiana would be on my list of places I’d want to road trip to. But hey, New Orleans is just across Lake Pontchartrain...

Our Lions are good Lions, your Lions are bad, Our Lions are happpy, your Lions are sad, Our Lions drink whiskey, your Lions drink beer, Our Lions like women, your Lions ARE ... well...

Those Lions won me a pack of free golf balls at the auction for answering the trivia correct from the ASUN commissioner in 2017. I totally remember the actions of that coach. He had his players barbing with Jenkins the entire game until the ejection happened. What a turd. The schedule just keeps getting better. I am looking forward to hearing about this years final schedule...hopefully we will know something by the end of the week?
Roar Lions!

Hey wait... if our lions like women, isn’t there some crazy cross-species action going on? Lol
