The Big South website has us at 3:00 EST.
Some of their tweets from yesterday. Interesting that we brought the white pants and white helmet. Does it mean anything? Maybe, maybe not.

Also, just saw a follow-up tweet from the Big South account stating that there is some sort of announcement on their "future with ESPN". That can only be a good thing, I would think.

Probably moving all TV to ESPN+ I would like to see all conference games televised, if they haven't been already. And of course by televised I mean at least available through WatchESPN (or whatever they're calling it this month).

If any of you have the ESPN app, are y'all having problems with it today? I can't watch anything, It keeps telling me "No return carrier" never done that before.

Soooooo, anything interesting said in the interviews? I watched it. Well, our part at least. The host threw out some pretty generic questions. “How do you think the transition is going?”. “What is stronger on your team, offense or defense?”. Stuff like that. I thought our three guys presented themselves well.

Soooooo, anything interesting said in the interviews? Watched all but Presby. Interesting that Monmouth is right off the beach. Definitely that and short distance to NYC/Philly are used in recruiting prospects. Main rivalries are teams from the Northeast. Naturally these will be the games that pack their stadium more so than conference games due to distance. Same could probably said for us (A&M, Jax State, Chatty), teams in our region in close proximity...at least early on. Kennesaw & Monmouth are expected to be the class of the conference and carry the banner for the Big South. Gardner Webb, based on going winless in conference play last year seemed uncertain about their prospects. Sounded like they might have concerns with line play. Campbell is excited to be playing scholly ball in the Big South. If I heard right, they have 21 red shirted from last year ready to go. Can't remember much about Charleston Southern. Got the impression they are expected to be middle of the pack. Thought it to be a nice touch to invite both Hampton and UNA as we don't start conference play until 2019. Hampton moving from MEAC to the Big South may be as much new territory to them as UNA going from D2 to FCS. Both of us will be learning the neighborhood. Our three representatives did well. They made it clear that, while we played D2 last year, our team has many players that were considered D1 level. Commentator spoke to the strength of our defense. Commissioner feels we are ready to play at this level and will contend from the get go. I think the commentator basically considered last year an anomaly. No mention was made of the teams on our schedule this year, by name, I think it was mentioned that it is a strong schedule. It was mentioned that 2019 has no D2 teams on our schedule. As many expected, the commissioner's new regarding ESPN had to do with Big South inclusion in ESPN+ for all sports.

So is ESPN + what ESPN3 is today? I bought sling so I can watch all UNA games on ESPN3, except for the games close enough to travel. I am actually looking forward to basketball season for a change...been a couple of years since I thought we would have some talent. Basketball this year feels much different.

I am actually looking forward to basketball season for a change...been a couple of years since I thought we would have some talent. Basketball this year feels much different. Not sure. ESPN3 I could access on my laptop through my internet provider. So I reckon the internet provider had an arrangement with my ISP. ESPN+ still requires ISP so you can stream but you will have a contract with ESPN at, currently, $4.99 per month. So if all else remains the same (namely your ISP) your cost to see your team goes up $4.99/month. I hate spending extra money but this seems like a small price to pay to actually see my team play when they are on the road and to see in baseball, basketball, soccer, volleyball, etc.. Preseason polling currently has Kansas and Gonzaga at the top. Gonzaga has the honor of playing us this year
