Beat me to it.
I'm surprised and disappointed but happy for her. I'm sure the salary boost was pretty substantial.

Think they want a basketball coach too? Package deal?
But seriously, it's probably a better opportunity for her and well deserved.
What troubles me is, could it be that much of a difference in pay for vollyball?

I’m sure her Salary at North Alabama was around the average for D1 Schools the average is around $55,000. The lowest being around $40,000 with the high probably being under $75,000.
It is the summer camps where they make their money. I’m sure at Southern Mississippi she can make a lot more than she could here off of the camps. Also if she had stayed here she would have been the highest paid volleyball coach in the ASUN.

I wonder what effect, if any, this has on us starting up beach volleyball? I’m guessing we stick to the plan of having the volleyball coach also coach the beach team.
When I first read the headline I thought that maybe she wasn’t excited about pulling double duty for us, but since she’ll be coaching USM’s beach team, I’m sure it just comes down to a pay raise and/or a bit more prestige being at an established D1 school.
Good luck and best wishes to her, unless of course, we ever play the Golden Eagles!
