UNA just couldn't get going yesterday vs KSU. Lost both games.
Hopefully today they pull it out.

Big win today! KSU is #14 in the College Baseball RPI after blowout wins over Top 25 Kentucky and Clemson in the past few weeks.

Went to the Doubleheader on Saturday. UNA had Kennesaw in the first game but a passed ball really opened the game up. Brycen was left in the game an inning too long, and I don't understand how the coaches didn't see that. On the passed ball, runners were on the corners and the catcher tried to pick a breaking ball in the dirt instead of blocking. I don't understand why a catcher would try to pick any ball from about 12 years old up - BLOCK EVERYTHING! Kennesaw had a catcher that knew exactly how to play the position. On Brycen, Kennesaw hit the ball hard on him from the start and it was obvious. They should have had someone warming up as soon as Brycen came in.
I'm done with the new UNA coach. He has no fire about him and there's no enthusiasm with this team. KSU were having fun and seemed to play off of it.
Glad they got a Win on Sunday but it's going to be another long season. I would get rid of him after this season. He had a chance to turn the roster over this year and made very little changes. He also refuses to change the lineup or who pitches.

Coach Prachniak already has as many wins (22) in less than 1.5 seasons as Keehn had in this last three full seasons.

Lost 10-0 to EKU who is 5-18. When is it time to change the lineup that produces little to no runs or did they not bring on any talent that can hit? The new SS can’t hit for shit .145 on the year.

Coach Prachniak already has as many wins (22) in less than 1.5 seasons as Keehn had in this last three full seasons. That’s not really a fair comparison. I think you’re including the 2020 season which was only 16 games. Coach Keehn won 35 games over his last 3 full seasons (2019, 2021, 2022). That includes 16 games in 2019 with a roster that was directly from D2. In my opinion in 2019 he faced a considerably tougher situation than the current staff, having to build a D1 roster without the advantage of the transfer portal to immediately bring in experienced D1 level players.

In reply to unaman and mtc13 concerning pitching and catching. I have been to most of the games this season and the pitching seems to have improved some over last season. As far as catching, the kid who catches the Sunday game appears to frame pitches and block pitches in the dirt pretty well. His batting average isn't to shabby either from what I have seen. If I am not mistaken, he is the player who hit the two run home run to beat Kennesaw State. Don't understand why there appears to be talent on the team that doesn't see the field very much. Maybe Prachniak should switch things up a little, you might see better results.

Also, I agree it is basically the same lineup and positions as last year and we know how well that went. Time to change it up and stop operating in insanity (doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results). There's been 23 games, and there is only one player on the "bench that has appeared in more than 10 (Cal Cook). Why isn't Zak Majer in the lineup more? Loving (the only freshman seeing some time) has struggled. 11 players are set to move on after this year (assumption that covid years have been taken). Going to be a complete roster change. Next year will be the tell tell sign if Prachniak has it figured out or not...

Lipscomb takes the series today with a 15-2 drubbing. Glad that we won on Good Friday to avoid the sweep.
