So, I watch these mid-week games even if just in the background. I’ve watched the MAC in previous years and mainly CUSA this year. Tues/Wed, some Thursdays and even Fridays.
What if the UAC approached ESPN and CBS Sports about a similar deal for Sept instead of late season? I’m not sure non-conference opponents would protest much if on TV.
Thoughts?

I have thought the same thing... The problem I have is weeknight games.... If they would put a game on Saturday in any timeslot, I think it would be better... nobody is showing up in the week. What I've seen, the UAC is better than CUSA and it's not as close as you would think...

Comes down to money. You lose the opportunity for a big crowd for Saturday game vs weeknight game. Question is does the tv coverage pay for the attendance loss? At the same time for the smaller school in a state where 2 prominent schools take away your student body and others on Saturdays maybe you gain some audience?

Are you talking head to head competition, or eyeballs for a Wednesday night game?
