The Lions definitely need a win. Utah Tech got a win last week over Stephen F Austin putting up 37 points in the victory. The Lions offense has struggled to score consistently. Does playing at home help give the offense a boost? Where was the backup Qb last week? Four picks from the starter and no backup? Does Moody get his opportunity this week? Is Lacey able to play any Saturday? Does special teams contribute more to our team or theirs? Will the defense get back to creating turnovers? Is this where a win begins and the losing streak ends?

Looks like we are 3-point favorites this weekend. If I'm not mistaken, I believe when it's a toss-up the home team is sometimes given 3 points... just because. So like me, whoever is setting that line probably has no clue how this one will turn out.
I want to win this one a.) because we need a conference win, b.) it would hopefully keep us from finishing in last place in the conference, and c.) Utah Tech is a transitioning team. With it being a home game and our last good chance at a win this year, it sure would be nice to find a way to do it.

We dint accomplish anything during the transition so I feel like we are just getting to it... Anyway, I think we win this one at home, in Utah, I think they win...

Massey Ratings, which I know some roll their eyes at, has UNA at 65th out of 133 FCS teams. UAC teams are ranked 10-65 with Austin Peay at #10. masseyratings.com/cf2023/557749

Utah Tech has played (crazy to think) a more difficult schedule than the Lions this season. Started out with at Montana State and then hosted Montana. Won at Northern Arizona and then lost on the road at Missouri State and Colorado State. They beat SFA at home and had a bye week. They are gonna be battled tested and play tough.
But, the trip kinda sucks. Travel, hotel, and for them about a 2000 ft elevation change. UNA coming off a bye and wanting a home win. I hope they’re well rested and prepared. I know they work hard and we all want a win. Fingers crossed the penalties and turnovers will be few in number. If so, I like the Lions chances.

If we had played a D2 team and maybe a weak SWAC team instead of Mercer and UT-Martin, we might be sitting at 4-3 and feeling like the program is moving in a positive direction. And I’m not saying it isn’t, but obviously the win total is not what we had all hoped for. Then again, if you aren’t making the playoffs, I’m not sure there’s a lot of difference between 2-9 and 5-6.

I like us at home this week and not by a little. Sounds crazy to think we win by double digits, but is about to happen. UNA may finally have advantages in the trenches on both sides of the ball. I also like Walters at Qb over the competition. Our offense comes out on fire early and the defense follows. We build a big lead in the first half and it we keep it at double digits through the 2nd half. Lions win and gain confidence, maybe not the kicker, but everyone else.

Fired up to get win 3 tonight! 3 more D1 wins than a year ago. Maybe this gives us the confidence to get another one or two? See y’all at Braly and ROAR LIONS!

I don't think we will have a big crowd tonight... not much tailgating either...

We need a win to get the fans back interested. Plus other schools playing later hurt us. Still like us to get a win tonight.

Wish I was there tonight. I’m guessing it’s perfect football weather.
7-0 good guys at the end of the first. Let’s put some points on the board, guys…

Don’t see how in the 8th game of the year you can have as many mental mistakes as we seem to have. We seem to be a heavily penalized team year after year after year.
