Was told that the ASUN is looking into having a neutral site for baseball championship in the future.
List of possible sites
Chattanooga (Lookouts Stadium)
Madison (Trash Pandas Stadium)
Birmingham (Rickwood Field)
Pensacola (Blue Wahoos Stadium)
Jackson Tennessee (Old Generals Stadium)
Nashville (Sounds Stadium)
It may even be a rotation of a few.

For this to be of interest to UNA, they'd actually have to qualify for the ASUN tournament...

Looking like if the ASUN decides to go neutral site for baseball, Rickwood in Birmingham is the most likely candidate...
Side note, Rickwood will be hosting the Field of Dreams game in 2024.
They are going to be doing some renovation to the stadium to bring it up to current MLB standards, and also be able to host the Barrons again in certain games.
The City of Birmingham is donating 2 mil to go towards renovation.
If the ASUN decides to use Rickwood, they would also be making a donation.
Fun fact, Rickwood is the oldest professional baseball stadium. After the Field of Dreams game, it will also be the oldest MLB stadium.
The history alone should make a COLLEGE athletic conference want to use the site.

The ASUN going with Stetson this year kinda surprised me...
Last I had heard is Birmingham (Rickwood) would be the likely venue.
It could be that they already had an agreement with Stetson? And they have a really nice place.
My only gripe about on campus championship games is marketing. When all the signage you see, especially on TV is of one school and not the conference, well frankly to me it looks cheap.
I have no problem with playing it at Stetson, they have a wonderful facility, but cover all the Stetson stuff with ASUN stuff.
I do think Rickwood would be a fun place from a historical prospective.
Oxford would be okay as well.

Yeah, probably... just don't know the timeline on that.
