All right let's get this party started! I can't wait to see Rich Rod and Company ramrod us at Toyota Field next Saturday! (sarcasm)

Gee, can hardly wait for the next loss.
At least Bama will be able to handily beat Tenne ...
... eh, maybe it just won't be a good football day overall.

My best effort to put a positive spin on the game….here goes:
JSU will be overconfident. Record is 5-1 coming in, but really have only beat 1 good team, KSU at home that was a struggle. Murray state is 0-6, Nichols is 1-5, Stephen F is 3-3, and Davidson is 4-2(just loss to new FCS member St Thomas).
North Alabama needs this win a lot more than JSU. North Alabama needs this win to salvage the season. North Alabama needs to prove they are capable of playing D1 football from start of the game to the end of the game. If the talent on this team will play to the potential of this team then this is a winnable game.
Adjustments have been good. We had 6 points in the first half, we found ourselves down 11 early in the third and responded. We must have an improved game plan going into the game. We cannot continue to lay an egg early and hope to come back. We need to apply the pressure. Defense needs to provide a spark too, not just getting off the field but getting a turnover that turns into points. Special teams provided a spark last with blocked FG. Can we get a spark in special teams again. Is this our week to break through?

A lot of times this season, we would do all of our scoring in the 1st half and forget how to play offense in the 2nd half. Last Saturday's game against Kennesaw State we actually scored in the 2nd half and went to OT. Maybe the offense is finally clicking with Walter's. Not fully sold, but it seems like there's hope.

While UNA has talent to potentially keep this close, I do not trust any coach on this coaching staff. JSU has an experienced coach and great QB. I have JSU winning big 41-17 in front of a predominantly UNA crowd at the baseball stadium. This will be the final straw and more UNA fans will call for the firing and change of direction in the program.

I just hope that we can drink Golden Mane at the game to forget our sorrows of the massacre that's taking place on the field. At least the dugouts at Toyota Field have our logos on them.

ASUN/WAC Poll came out today. Lions are dead last, and they aren't even close to the next ASUN team. How can anyone look at the football program and think they are moving forward?

Trash Pandas rep I met with Thursday said they trying to get some kegs for the game. I have no idea if that came to fruition or not? I will probably catch up with her on Thursday for logistical reasons.

Hello UNA folks! JSU Fan here excited about the unique football venue we have coming. I am debating on taking my RV to the RV tailgate area but don’t want to be the only one. I don’t think many JSU fans are bringing RVs and was wondering how many UNA RV enthusiasts to expect. Any information would be very helpful.
Hope to see a great game Saturday.

I have not heard? I am not sure if the distance being close makes that more or less appealing? I do not RV? Hope y’all have a great turnout too. Makes the games a lot of fun. A few years ago when JSU beat UNA in OT I looked to my right and there was a JSU fan just a smiling during the 4th quarter? He said there is not a better game at JSU. UNA brings fans and the rivalry is just different. He said they never have that many visitors at a game. I get it, we rarely have fans from opposing teams too. Maybe we end up in the same conference again in the near future?

From D1 Ticker: Toyota Field, home of MiLB's Rocket City Trash Pandas, has been converted for this weekend's football matchup between North Alabama and Jacksonville State. UNA AD Looney: "It’s great. I think it’s a huge step up forward from the last game that was played in a baseball stadium in our league (the ASUN), which was Kennesaw State and JSU in SunTrust in 2018. The infield dirt was still there. The goal posts were on wheels. That’s a testament to the city of Madison and the Trash Pandas. If we’re going to do it, we’re going to do it right. The field conversion wasn't easy." Drainage systems and field direction were key factors in the process. On that latter point, "the Lions and the Gamecocks will go in the same direction when on offense, fielding kickoffs or kicking — toward the first-base dugout. The defensive end zone will be toward left field." This may sound familiar, as it will be the second Division I game, though the first FCS one, to have this format after the 2010 Illinois-Northwestern matchup at Wrigley Field. They link to this Decatur Daily article. www.decaturdaily.com/were-going-to-do-it-right-toyota-field-conversion-for-una-jsu-involved-plenty-of/article_6ab4cbd4-be7c-55b4-82c5-7f0cadd7b3fb.html

I have a pair of tickets in the legacy section I’ll let go at cost. I have them listed on the trash panda ticket exchange Facebook site as well.

Exciting to see the Big purple Lion logo on the field. All the UNA stuff being put up looks so good. Can’t wait for us to have a real home stadium. This is the game UNA needs to bring recruits, UNA stuff is everywhere…not just on uniforms or staff.
Over 10,000 tickets sold, closer to 11,000. I wonder if we would have that number at home? Little warmer than I was hoping for the game, but in the shade at kickoff it shouldn’t be too bad. I will have a few wearing JSU in our suite….hopefully the ones in purple will get the last laugh.

Wow, that's a lot of Lion fans for one game in a 1-4 season so far.
Really hope our coaches do something other than stink up the field and make JSU look good.
