Emma Broadfoot left to play at in state SEC school. Tough. She was a good player here. I wish these student athletes would make the school their school, guess that doesn’t always happen. Best of luck to her unless they play the Lions. Then hope you get smoked.

Just another example of how terrible the transfer portal is for fans. I don't begrudge her for doing what she feels is best for her. But as a UNA fan it's just really frustrating to know that your best players are always a threat to move on to a bigger school.
We are essentially a developmental league for the power schools to pick and choose from when they have a hole in their lineup.

On the flip side of that coin, hopefully our coaching staffs can start to use the portal to their advantage. For every kid that transfers up to go to a bigger school, there’s at least one looking to transfer out. UNA could hopefully sell the opportunity to come in and compete for playing time right away to someone whose been on the bench at a power 5 for a few years.

I agree on using the portal to our advantage. But we can agree we'd prefer to keep a player that's already proven. A bird in the hand, and whatnot. I'm probably just angrier than normal as I post from my office that the A/C is struggling to keep even at 75
