Two big games for the basketballers, starting tonight. The women need to get back on track against a team they should easily beat. We are currently tied with Stetson for 2nd in the conference, though we hold the tiebreaker over them at the moment. Starting tonight and going forward, we have five more games, four of them against teams we previously beat. Finishing at least 4-1, especially with another win over Stetson, would hopefully clinch 2nd place.
For the men, will they be able to make it to 10 wins on the season? If so, the two most winnable games are right in front of them, starting Wednesday night at KSU. Then it's a trip to Stetson before finishing the season at home against Jacksonville and Lipscomb. If we can win 2 or 3 out of those 4, and get to double-digit wins on the season - I'll be happy. It's not where we want to be, but it would assure that we don't finish at the bottom of the conference. That's a little something to hang our hat on in this first season.

I predict these next 4/5 games will be a dog fight for both teams.

I predict these next 4/5 games will be a dog fight for both teams. Yeah I don't disagree. It has been a long season. I'm sure a lot of the losing has weighed on the guys. They have been so competitive in so many games, just to end up not quite having enough. Hopefully that motivation of double-digit wins I talked about can help them in the next few. For the women, they play 3 of the bottom 4 teams in the conference. They have to win those games. Liberty and Stetson will both be tough, especially on the road. We really need to beat Stetson. They play FGCU again to close out the season, so that could be another potential loss for them. I'd say we have to go 4-1 to finish in second overall. But, if the loss is to Stetson and they finish 4-1 as well, I have no idea what the tiebreaker would be. We would have split the head-to-head games at that point and finished with the same conference record.

Women need to play smarter as a team and they will be fine. Men need to create more scoring opportunities. We are not great at shooting, so some steals and transition baskets give us a chance.

I assume the women's would be based on RPI. Our women are going to play their best basketball to get the second seed and make a run in the ASUN tournament. The past two years we have run out of steam late in the season. I hope they can reverse that trend this year.

Hope coach is slapping them around at the half....playing stupid. I am starting wonder if they are smart enough to play as a team? We are three times this team and yet we lead by 2? 14 turnovers in one half? How can anyone turn it over 14 times in a game let alone in a half? Pitiful...hopefully when they girls come out from the halftime they will play UNA basketball. I would have made them stand while I sat and yelled at them...don’t deserve to sit....earn the right to sit.

Well... that was disappointing.
Nevermind the way that all went down. Kennesaw is a bad team. You just can’t lose games like this, even on the road.
