On the bright side we cut the turnovers down to 10 which helped us stay closer. This team really appears to lack chemistry. I hope they develop it…teams in basketball with chemistry play different on both ends of the court. Rhythm in basketball is huge.

Skyler Gill looks to be a scorer, so I'm glad she's finally healthy and playing. Unfortunately, we didn't need as much help at guard as we do in the paint. Can't teach height, as they say. Hopefully we can let our youngsters come along this year, take their lumps, and then maybe recruit some forwards or find some in the portal for next year. Hopefully we can find some wins in conference play.
I notice we play the Mocs here in Chattanooga on Saturday. I might have to ease down to that one.

I'm very disappointed in women's basketball... Don't know exactly what the problem is, but it seems there is a lack of priorities in that program that stems from the top... While men's basketball is steadily improving, women's is opposite... I look for a coaching change around the corner.

I have been a little hesitant about saying something, but I don’t think that Tiber wants to recruit against the completion.
We are now a D1 school and should be trying to get players that other D1 schools are after. I know that occasionally a good player will get overlooked by a D1 school.
Most girls that have a twitter account will list the offers that they have from colleges. There has been at least 4 girls that are seniors in high school this year who live within a 70 mile or less radius of Florence. Each one of those girls had offers from 3 or more D1 schools, (two of the girls had offers from power 5 schools)but not an offer from North Alabama. I know a school or even an coach can withdraw an offer. Regardless of what playing system a coach uses if someone can get offers to several schools in your classification. You should be able to fit that player into your system. Out of those 4, Samford, UT-Martin, Belmont, Alabama will be getting those. As I see it, if in the future if they want to transfer why would they want to play for Tiber since she didn’t recruit them out of high school.
I’m not mentioning names or schools, all are welcome to do your own research.
Out of the players that she has already sign for next season.
One had an offer to 4 NAIA schools, 1 D2 school and North Alabama.
One had an offer to 1 D2 school and North Alabama.
One had an offer to 1 D2 school and North Alabama.
That’s the way it has been the past 3 years. Also the ones that was offer that had 3 or more D1 offers went somewhere else.

She seems to be more interested in finding buddies than anything else. I don’t want to talk badly about the girls, because it’s not their fault if they aren’t D1 level talents. But I’m not sure how she views this as being a winning strategy long term.

We look over matched against D1 opponents and unfortunately some lower level programs. Disappointed by the lack of recruiting efforts. Recruiting is vital at any level. If you are lazy In recruiting then you can expect to lose a lot of games. Our football and mens basketball win some of those recruiting battles against other FCS and FBS programs.

The Lions did everything they could at the end to give the Mocs a chance but held on for the win. I watched the ending. Probably should’ve driven down to McKenzie Arena today, but we have family in town. If it had been tonight, we could’ve maybe been there. That final 30-second sequence was BRUTAL. I didn’t realize Chattanooga was 1-10 coming into today. Their program has traditionally been very solid. While we are not great by any means, the ladies at least have two wins now over D1 competition from higher rated conferences.

Apparently tonight's game against Samford is free admission. They must be desperate.
