They are young ain't they? They had 3 Seniors (4 if you include Graduate student Savannah Stewart), 6 Juniors, 4 Sophomores and 10 Freshmen this year. You could say that they're young, but you would think that the 10 upperclassman would be more of a factor.

Just read where 8 of goals scored were by 7 assists. Did we only play 4 games in soccer? Of course the 8 goals is better than 7 goals. Baseball team would likely have been thrilled with 8 wins instead of 7 wins.

I won't pretend to be a big soccer fan, but just looking at the situation, I'm guessing it's difficult to recruit good players when your home "field" is actually a football practice facility. Maybe that situation is "good enough" for D2, but it's pretty embarrassing that we still use it as a D1 team. We should've worked out a better solution BEFORE moving up. I'm not asking to build a multi-million dollar stadium. But heck, using a dedicated soccer field at one of the City of Florence parks would probably be a better idea than what we are doing. I get that it works... but it probably leaves recruits thinking the team is an afterthought. JMO, anyway.

I agree...
Two ways to go here.
Use the football stadium (if it gets built) or
Find a spot close to campus to put a soccer field on. It will not take millions of dollars, all you need is 1 grandstand, and places for the teams. It basically needs to be a 1 or 2a small football stadium. You can upgrade later with bucket seating if you want and if you need to expand its not an issue.
I'm sure there is enough land close to campus theyculd do that on.

Looks like the title of this thread will be good for two years in a row. Didn’t think we had a sport that would make the baseball team look good?
